perhaps2 is on a distinguished road
Why is it..

When you go to Finheaven, all they talk about is Scott Pioli?
Like the magic in NE can be replicated elsewhere? I think not.

Look how well Rob Ryan is doing for the Faders...lol.

Bob Ryan was a LB coach...Pioli has been a key to the type of people brought in here. If I were a Dolphin fan, Pioli would be my #1 priority this off season.

I do think the Dolphins will make a run at Pioli. But, IMO, I don't think he wants to go anywhere.

He's got a very good set of circumstances here in New England. He's got a very strong relationship with Belichick, who will be in Foxboro for as long as he wants to be. He gets alot of the credit and none of the blame. When they don't agree, which is rare, BB usually defers to Pioli. The Krafts will probably compensate him as generously as needed to make him happy. And by all accounts, he's not an ego driven guy looking for great challenges to overcome.

In Miami, the pressure will be tremendous. He would be the focus of everything the organization does. He would be taking on added responsibilities for not much more money than he'll get from the Pats. He'll have to deal with a QB issue, Ricky Williams, an aging defense, no offensive line and a problem WR who'll be returning from IR next season. And if things don't turn around quickly, how patient will Huizenga be?

It will come down to whether Pioli wants that type of challenge. If he wants it, he'll go. If not, he'll stay.

I think that Pioli can make a difference but it's going to take time. It will not an overnight thing. Also, not having BB will take some of his magic away.

Jonathon Kraft was on WEEI last night and spelled it out. The Miami reporter made things up. Pioli is signed through the draft of 2006. He is under contract. He won't go anywhere.

It would be no different than if the Dolphins wanted to talk to Belichick or Brady for that matter.

I thought the rules regarding movement of executives had been changed this year. It's my understanding that an executive that's offered a promotion can break his contract. Unless, perhaps, Pioli has language in his contract in which he waives that right.

J Kraft said that a Miami reporter basically made that up.

Thats a relief UT But like Bideau said, I honestly doubt Pioli goes south...He is very close with BB, and BB and Pioli benefit from eachother. They are gods in this town. Why jump on a train wreck?

I'm trying to remember where I saw it, but Kraft said he will match any offer that Pioli gets. So if he goes, it won't be about money.
