I'll say it again. Digital skipping on the CBS effects mics, or feedback through the pa (less likely). Nothing more. Heard it instantly, rewound to confirm what I heard, realized just as quick what it was. Moved on.

Honestly (for those who think it was pumped in), if it had done at that level, anyone in the stadium would have heard it clearly. It would have come up in post game by someone. Analysts, players, coaches, someone would have said something.

Unfortunately, I will have to say that it is almost certainly not a skipping cd, but some kind of audio malfunction with the broadcast.

Although I certainly wouldn't put it past the Colts to pipe in both crowd noise AND excessive heat to the dome.

They could still be (and probably are) cheaters. We just don't have the smoking gun... Yet.

Wow.. what are you 17 yrs old?

I have been there, but you haven't answered me if you've been there.... Im, guessing no.

You want another team to be executed so it takes heat off of your team right? Well, isnt that what your looking for. Im sure the Commish will take ANY evidence that is submitted. My guess is he will laugh at whatever is submitted... but perhaps your right that INDY violated league rules.

It was certainly not feedback and mics and effects loops going south don't either without a lot of specific effort to make them so.

Ummm, thats a runon sentence and doesn't make any sense. Al Michaels just had a "volume" moment... perhaps it was enhanced... did anyone else hear it?

Think of it this way. Every sound is travelling through computers before it goes out with the signal. The various mics are all feeding through signal processors. Any manner of crash or temporary CPU overload would cause that kind of sound on a hang, and it could easily happen on only one channel.

Until I see any indication that people on the field heard that (which if it was that loud, they would have had to), then I'll continue believing it was the CBS sound feed that crapped out.

Here I'll make it easy for you.

1. Feedback doesn't sound like that.

2. Mics don't make that sound on their own.

3. You would have to set an effects unit to make that specific sound and delay, which would be useless for anything having to do with a football broadcast or virtually any other type of performance.

And you're wrong Moebius. Yes they run through computers but crashes where a unit fails results in a different effect, and the failure of a cpu would not create that sort of sound either.

With all due respect to your knowledge in this field, I have to disagree. I've had almost the exact same style sound effect when I was dubbing some audio into a video file and the program belched. The sound coming in the left front channel went into a loop while the other channels were just fine.

Thought I would share this link here.

During the game, there was a moment on Moss's catch where the crowd noise started stuttering, yet none of the other noise did, like the announcers for instance.

Then all of a sudden the crowd noise stuttering stops and drops to half the crowd volume from before.

Sounds like a Mili Vannili moment

I said something about Polian needing to buy a better CD player for his crowd noise system. My dad just laughed at me, but?????

Videogate vs Soundgate...lol
