Maybe that's how LadyT will react if she gets into the hall. After all, it's not like she's won anything else.

You're right. I just edited my original post with a disclaimer.

No doubt The Classy One is already lining up the confetti cannons, fireworks, and duck boats for his personal victory parade through downtown San Diego.

This is bound to be the classiest HOF induction ceremony in the history of the Universe.

Wonder if his bust will shed real tears?

Ted Williams was a Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest hitter in baseball history. But his team never won a World Series.

However, it wasn't a Championship Ring that topped his wish list.

....."We're in the parking lot afterward, and Flavin tells me he's at this affair back in the early '80's with Ted Williams and Tip O'Neil," Old Hockey Coach relates. "O'Neil had never met Ted Williams, and wanted to. So Flavin arranged for the two to meet in a back room. Once ushered into the back room, the two Boston legends shake hands, the greatest hitter and the greatest politician, and they hit it off. And Ted says to Tip, 'So Tip, you've been a pol your entire life, you've had a great career, is there anything in politics you've seen that you wanted but never got?' And Tip replies, 'No, I've achieved everything I've ever wanted. I was on the Cambridge School Committee, became the Speaker of the House of Representatives, I was involved with JFK's inauguration, everything.' While Ted Williams nodded thoughtfully, Tip O'Neil then asked, 'How about you, Ted? You're a war hero, you're the greatest hitter who ever lived, you're the last man to bat .400 - was there anything in baseball you've seen you never had?' And the Splendid Splinter's response was immediate, and emphatic.

'Hell yes,' Williams bellowed, 'Larry Doby's cock.'"

Apparently, the championship ring wasn't at the very top of his wish list.

My guess is they'll base his bust from one of the few photos when he wasn't having a yeast infection.

His QBs must've been happy he was a Running Back and not a Center.

This may have come up already (apologies if so), but I think the fact that LdT was a running back and Tedy was a linebacker is also something to consider. RBs are judged as much by their stats as any other position. Really the only stat that people use to analyze front-end defenders are sacks and maybe tackles (but the later is definitely not as sexy).

I'm not surprised that LdT said that, because he clearly has an extremely fragile ego. He's one of few players for me that I've genuinely disliked and would not have wanted on the Patriots. Anytime someone refers to himself as "classy" it's a clear indication that they are crying out for approval and attention. I basically think the guy is a major POS and actually hope it takes a couple of rounds for him to get into the HOF.

Too bad the video cut off, because Marino got so angry, he got all red in the face, just like the good ole days.

As long as everyone's classy, that's all that matters.
