(Not the "spot-on" treatment used over the shoulder blades) It is off label use but this stuff works great with pets for fleas, ticks, mites and lice. Bed bugs are related to lice, so it should work for the bed bugs, I thought. It can be used safely directly on dogs and cats and it's also used agriculturally on the food we eat, so I thought it should be ok for us.

The ez solution: I sprayed the corners of the bed room where the wall meets the carpet. I sprayed under the furniture. The most important thing, tho, is to spray the legs of the bed and the box spring below the mattress since these critters crawl up at night. During this spraying, our bed room door was closed and all windows were open. I stayed out for 2 hours and when I came back the odor had gone. Not one more bite! That cured our bed bug problem. I know it's unorthodox, but it worked! And it was cheap. You can buy the spray from your local vet. or at a pet store. Don't buy it online since there is so much counterfeit product sold there!

This is great stuff, as I just PMed you about. I told Mrs. O.Z.O. about it, and what we're going to do is get some of this stuff and hit the place again next weekend, and every other week thereafter until we're convinced that they're gone. She has a friend that's used this stuff before, so she knows exactly what it is and where to get it. These little shits are on a 2 week hatch cycle, so a couple follow up treatments should hopefully take care of it if this doesn't eradicate the problem once and for all.

Stayed in a hotel this weekend, actually.. But I don't think Bob Kraft would allow these things in his plaza. So I'm not worried.


I hope you can get this cleared up. They certainly are awful and a REAL pain in the ass to deal with. I've had to deal with fleas and have heard the horror stories that come with having bedbugs. So I feel your pain.

I am VERY grateful I haven't had to deal with them myself yet and pray I never have to.

before you stay at another hotel or travel overnight and stay anywhere away from home, check out on line the types of things to look for to let you know whether or not these little bastards are a problem. A couple things that are recommended are-

-putting your suitcase on the luggage rack in the hotel room or on the dresser

- wash all your clothes in hot water as soon as you get home.

We did use the luggage rack and I believe the girlfriend washed everything once we got home. After all, our clothes spent more time on the floor then us actually wearing them. (wink, wink)

No need to follow up, OZO. It lasts for over 30 days so as they hatch and crawl up, they die almost instantly!
