If you limit it to just TD passes, he did it against the Browns in 06, the Bengals in 06, the Browns in 07, the Jags in 08, the Ravens in 08, the Cardinals in 08, and the Packers this year. Give me some examples of all this football I've apparently missed.

So I have to ask, if Ben even played half way decent, would he have need to complete that epic 1st down? I mean come on, he completed a first down???? Wow that is impressive, makes me forget about all his incompletions and ints he threw. The best throw in that game was by a wideout.

I'm going with Roethlisberger. Manning's great but he's not the most clutch. Brady's great if you need a game winning field goal. Ben on the other hand, no matter what he's done the rest of the game, put him in a 2 minute drill needing 7, and he transforms into superman.

It was 3rd and 28, and Roethlisberger completed a 37 yard pass to set up his rushing TD. Up to that point, the Steelers offense had done nothing. This was a huge play. It kept the drive alive and allowed the Steelers to take the lead into halftime.

And yeah, it may not make you forget the incompletions and the 2 picks, but that play, and a few others like it in key moments, sure negated those mistakes. That's why the Steelers won. We made plays when we had to. Hasselbeck, I'm sure, would love to trade a few of his passing yards and completions for just one successful play in a big situation when they needed it to put us away.

If you dont make those mistakes there is nothing to negate, basically your defense negated a lot of those mistakes. Seattle only scored 10 points, makes it a bit more easy to have a 21 Qb rating and win. Its like when people say, oh wow look at those comebacks he has...how about stop getting behind.

So what you're saying is, nobody should praise Brady for his winning drives in his 3 SBs. If Brady was any good, he never would have had to come back.

He didnt have to come back, the pats were not behind in any of those drives. I just never understood the, play like shit and its ok if you win it at the end. In the first superbowl he didnt, seattle couldnt score on the good defense and that was about it. It was a good drive in the last superbowl not taking anything away from it, but it was the one time. Hell Eli did that once too, nobody is putting him in the clutch QB hall of fame list.
