I placed my "in person" vote today. The location had been moved to a high school gymnasium to allow for more social distancing.

Face masks, hand sanitizer, and disposable gloves were available. "Social distancing" marks were on the floor.

There was plexiglass to protect the workers. My ID was never touched by anyone but myself. Compared to the past, there were three times the number of voting machines available and they were sanitized between voters.

As I observed all this and thought about how safe I was, I wondered what has happened to the COVID threat. We quickly went from de Blasio threatening to pull people out of the water to hearing that his daughter was one of those arrested in a demonstration.

While I watch the throngs of hundreds and thousands of people congregating to protest, I want to ask Pelosi . . . where are you now?

You have been pushing vote by mail because you are concerned about the November election being virus-proof. So, why aren't you speaking up about the lack of social distancing during the protests?

Doesn't COVID matter when it comes to the protests? Is it nothing more than a political ploy to be used when it comes to voting?
