He spilled the beans on Clinton.

Might have a case of two in the back of the head suicide.

I don’t know about that.

If someone posts something you believe is no supported by facts, one can respond in any number of civil ways.

“Where did you get that information from?”
“This source has different information than what you claim.”

You don’t have to say

“You’re lying, that’s not true”

Who are you kidding with that shit? You're lying!

Just testing...

"Bullshit" is always a popular one. Simple. Direct.

I've gotten my share of those. ROFL ROFL

To the moderators:

Once upon a time, I dwelled in a land called Colts.com where I often thought how much easier it would be to moderate a more laid-back board such as this versus an overly strict board.

I was wrong.

That strict board had a lot of rules that I could point to whenever someone was in violation. And, there was the "bad word" filter which did much of the moderating or us. However, the "bad word" filter did drive me nuts at times. :banghead:

For example:

Derogatory nicknames for other teams was a rule violation that the "bad word" filter usually took care of for us. One of many was calling the New Orleans Saints, the New Orleans Taints.

The filter would change "taints" to "saints" which was okay if the poster was actually referring to the teams, but totally stupid if one wanted to post something like . . . "Burisma taints the Biden legacy." . . . only to have the filter change it to . . . "Burisma saints the Biden legacy". Totally flips the intended content

But, I'm getting off track here (which happens a lot for me).

I just wanted to say that as someone who has been "behind the curtain" and knows the amount of time and headaches you may often endure . . .

thank you for everything that you do to keep this board running smoothly. :notworthy:

The old Buffalo Bills forum was the MOST strict I've ever encountered. Negative comments about ownership or management resulted in a ban. How could you not be negative about the idiocy that was the management of that team for 17 years?

Which is why that forum probably doesn't exist any longer

I was on a facebook group and you were not allowed to say Brady or the Patriots played bad even when they stunk. this psycho bitch banned everyone who did. I was banned for saying Edelman faked an injury and teh NFL punished him by taking him off the field for a tent visit, two days later the truth cam out but no apologies to me. People are F'd

it was the pick he set and then fell to the turf in the playoffs I believe

Solid post, thank you.

I am rather a fan of the free form moderation on this board..not really any rules, just the mods' judgement. I'm 100% on board with that.

...and this is coming from a guy that was "banned for life" from ganggreen.com and a couple of other New York forums, and at least 3 other non sports related forums. Not because I broke any rules...on ANY of them...just that the mods didn't like what I had to say.

Rules or no rules, it doesn't matter, mods ignore rules, make up rules, or whatever....I've seen it on all kinds of forums. Rules are sort of selectively applied and made up on the spot to please the mods.

The point being...rules are sort of irrelevant, in the end...the quality of the mods dictates the quality of the forum. This and one other forum I am on are the only two I have ever run into where I would genuinely classify the mods as outstanding, and I'm not saying that just to kiss ass. If it weren't so, I wouldn't be here, I would have moved on years ago.

Some people get away with it while others do not, it's all in how you dish it out I suppose.

Plus, he’s doing an outstanding job on the Girlie thread, so who can stay mad at such a guy?
(Although he’s gone quiet recently... hope things are fine).

We are both passionate about what we believe in...there's nothing wrong with that.

Cheers...

There's something to this.

As it is said, comedy is all about timing and delivery.

Yes, that applies more to verbal communication.

Two people can speak the exact same sentence and one will be funny and OK, and the other will cheese off the listener.

I'm not talking about things like blacks being able to use the N word and whites can't.

It's timing and delivery.

An inflection, a pause, a look, all can make a huge difference in how something is received.

There is a parallel for the written word, but there are fewer ways one can "tilt" ones post.
