Remember when the Pats-Texans line looked stoooopid?

Yup.

They are the "house" for a reason.

Lakers/Kings '02 Western Conference Finals. The officiating in game 6 would make Polian blush.

Basketball is an awesome sport. The NBA is some sort of weird and demented version of it.

And of course, the line in Vegas had no influence at all on the outcome of the game. Everyone knows that the NFL is totally free from the influence of gamblers.

Paul Hornung and Alex Karras.

They're not the droids you're looking for.

Thinking back to Wes crying, I have three strong reactions:

1. I didn't think it was possible to like Welker more than I did before that happened. I was wrong.

2. Does anyone have any doubt that the principal reason he was crying was because he will now be deprived for quite some time from doing what he enjoys doing most in the world? Sure, stuff like not being able to help the team win, the long rehab, the pain and the overall frustration played a huge role, too. But Wes plays like a person who really gets that he's getting paid to play a kid's game. And that's part of why he's so great and likable.

3. I feel as sorry for Wes as I do for Pats fans. This might be the most difficult and disappointing injury as I have ever experienced as a fan. And I include Tom's in that.
