26 seconds apart. I almost threw my beer. Stupid-ass turnovers in your own zone!!! Playoff winners don't do that and the Bruins did it 3 times in the 3rd. Even Tuukka almost gave one to Buffalo.

Rask, Krecji, Bergeron, Lucic and Rechhi were GREAT last night. Bergeron is great even when he doesn't show up in the stat sheet. And Satan was also terrific.

Mark Stuart, held out the entire first round because of an infection in his left hand, has been cleared to start skating on his own. Stuart is going through his first solo skate today under the watch of strength and conditioning coach John Whitesides.

Stuart is still on antibiotics. But if he progresses over the next few days, Claude Julien said there's a good chance Stuart could rejoin the team for practice. If that schedule holds firm, Stuart could be available later in the round

I'm not happy about Thornton sitting against the Flyers. The Flyers are a physical team and this is going to put pressure on Lucic to be the tough guy and possibly take him out of his game.

I see the Bs putting Thornton back into line-up for Begin at some point and blaming a loss on Shawn's absence.

Honestly, that game says to me that the Bs are much better than the Flyers. If not for some very questionable calls by the zebras and a few out of character soft goals allowed by Tuuka, the Bs would have crushed the Phillies. And that OT was so dominated by Boston.

I'll be very surprised if this series goes more than 5 games.

IIRC, he had a bit of a me-me attitude prior to coming to the B's. Have seen very little of that recently. A number of times during this concussion ordeal, he has referred to teammates as his "buddies". And I think the mutual feeling from teammates was more than evident during the game winner celebration on Saturday.

Julien juggled his lines a bit, putting Vladimir Sobotka on Marc Savard’s left wing with Michael Ryder on the right. Blake Wheeler is on the fourth line with Steve Begin and Shawn Thornton.



A great boost to add, possibly pairing with Wideman for a little more accountability back there. Stuart is the rough and tough stay at home cat. Let Wideman play the more open, offensive role with great insurance behind him.

The players' association executive board voted Thursday to accept a new temporary rule that will ban hits to the head against unsuspecting players.

The union's representatives on the competition committee signed off on the ban Wednesday. It was then left to the union's board to accept or reject the recommendation. The NHL will be allowed to issue supplemental discipline to violators this season.

This rule is in effect through this year's playoffs. The competition committee is expected to meet during the summer to create a permanent rule that also will include an on-ice penalty instead of just having punishment after the fact.

The Penguins chances of getting to the Cup Finals just went way up with the Krejci injury. No way the Habs beat the Pens and no way the Flyers beat the Bs. And without Krejci, I have to admit that the Pens will be heavy favorites against the Bs.

You never know but David was one of the best Bs on the ice in the playoffs. Only Bergeron and Chara and Rask were more valuable than him, in my view. Recchi is right up there, too. But Krejci was key.
