Distasteful? Most likely. It does make sense that beer can do that to you, though.

Distasteful? Beyond question. Funny? Quite. Annoying because it makes scrolling through threads a royal pain? Absolutely.

Absolutely. This i still having trouble understanding because i don't have any issues with scrolling? I do notice that you need to scroll to see my whole sig,but other than that it doesn't seem to affect my scrolling technique... Another thing I figured it would be a good thing for some people to have to scoll to see my sig because some wont bother knowing full well its going to be bad very bad...lol

It's especially bad when using a small screen, like a netbook (which since I lost the laptop with my job is my primary surfing machine right now) using a trackpad. The focus of the scroll switches from the whole page to the sig block, then it gets sticky and doesn't go back to the whole page unless you tap somewhere outside of the sig. Plus, for small screens like this it takes up the entire screen which if the scroll does catch back to the main window makes it easy to lose track of what post you're reading.
Edit: And in the for what it's worth department. The same thing happens if you're using the mouse-wheel to scroll and the pointer happens to be over the sig block when you stop.

Something like that works perfect. :D While it still makes me :Eason: a little, it's nice and easy to scroll a long page.

Honestly? I think it's ridiculous. I don't want to turn sigs off, because I think some of them are downright cool, clever, etc. Especially the football-related ones. I think it's inappropriate to have sigs that really aren't cool for some people to look at at work.
EDIT: now it's hosted from PP, so it isn't even easy to block just yours.

On that front, I usually turned sigs and pics off when I was surfing the planet from work (well, before I was working from home at any rate).

Yes.
But you're free to have it as a picture says a thousand words and we know what you're trying to say.

Understandable, but as a concept, that's ridiculous. So I should have to turn off images that I otherwise enjoy (e.g., football images on a football message board) because there are inappropriate sig pics? That seems pretty ass backward. It's not just at work, either. I'm generally pretty laid back and don't give a crap about ginormous sig pics, etc. But seriously, how can we justify what this dude puts in his sig? How is that OK?

Yeah the line keeps getting pushed further and further. It would be nice if there was nothing distasteful in anyone's sigs or pics before we are forced to make more stupid rules.
