Bodden was underrated when he played for the Browns. The only CB I would've trusted to guard T.O. or Moss. I would've loved for San Diego to pick him up before the Lions did.

Am I the only one that is very concerned that Millen has a high opinion of the guy? ROFL

On the surface I'm with you. But he played very well for Crennel when he was a Brown, and knows our defensive system as a result. He should have a short learning curve here and do very well I think.

You know the old saying "even a broken clock is right twice each day".
He's had the misfortune of playing on bad teams his entire NFL career.
With some good coaching IMO he'll be a good DB for the Pats. He may never be elite or an All Pro. But if your pass rush improves this year he doesn't have to be. He just has to be good. He's athletic and he's quick, so as long as your pass rush doesn't leave him exposed he'll play well for your team - IMO.
Andre Goodman came to the Fins from Detroit and was very underwhelming. However with good coaching he improved quite a bit. He's not elite, either. But he's good - and that's enough most of the time.

Just an aside - if I were a Pats fan, I think I might be more worried about Springs than Bodden. Springs is a lot older and has had health issues. Myself, I think Bodden will be the better of the 2 for you guys. Yeah I know I could be way off - I'm wrong a lot. But that's just how I see it for now.

Bodden is on a 1 year prove it deal.

He has to be good... and he will.

Ocho cinco had high praise for Bodden. Most of what has been said from around the league seems positive. It is a step up from Delta O'Neil for sure. I am going to miss Hobbs for his courage but not his DB skills.
