Hey all,

Is this BBs type of wiley veteran or is the price tag too high. We could probably send Willie (although it would be sad) and Jones up there for him. He may fit in and be able to help our line. Let me know what you think.
Peace,
Matt

my impression of seau is that he is a prima donna type who basically does whatever he wants on the D. i don't think he would work well in bb's type system. the top 11 guys on teh D are now taking up $36 million plus in cap room, and the top 11 guys on offense are taking up $18 million.
I can't see bb adding another big salary on D, and especially letting guys he knows go.
i'd rather see jones traded for turley if the teams can get both guys signed. this assumes turley has got his head on straight enough to be effective in NE.

Aside from the fact that the Pats are done in free agency until they either restructure someone or deal Tebucky -- they are roughly $440,000 under the cap according to Sportsline -- I would move in favor of some athleticism and youth.
My opinion is that we might be up to our armpits in veteran leadership right now and BB isn't really making good on his promise to get younger. I am for balance. You need leaders but you also need some guys with wheels that don't look like Robocop.
Seau is entering his 14th season. He was voted "Most Inspirational Player" on the Chargers last year -- translation: "How the hell are you even walking...."
