Most of us watched the game last night. In saying that, I'm pretty sure we all know who the ESPN broadcast team was rooting for (here's a hint- their team lost)

Tom Brady had the right take on this sham of a "sports broadcast" network. Seriously, these guys are a bunch of clowns. For the most part, it's like having a fish tank- throw something bright and shiny in the tank and all the fish are drawn to it.

All we have heard about this whole series was how the Pistons were a veteran team, 6 straight trips to the conference finals...blahblahblah...but the point that these douchebags kept beating into our heads was that this was "a veteran team who knew how to win in the tight spots"

...oh, REALLY...?

let's examine, shall we?

6 consecutive trips to the Eastern Conference finals

2 conference championships

1 title

right off the bat, we see that they've failed in this position FAR more often then they've succeeded, yet their "experience" was supposed to carry them through. Hell, yesterday morning Mike and Mike made the forgone conclusion that Detroit pretty much had the series wrapped up.

The ball washing that the Pistons have recieved over the last few seasons is eerily reminiscent to that which has been delivered to another professional sports franchise that we are all also quite familiar with.

Hopefully, it will stop now.

...anybody want to venture a guess as to who ESPN's annointed team in the finals will be?

Finals are all on ABC, no? That means I can banish ESPN again.

ISn't it like ESPN on "some network" though? SO they have their stinking hands in it.

Make no mistake about it going forward, Kobe Bryant will be the number one story. He's the most polarizing figure in the series and, aside from Phil Jackson, the most sucessful.

Sorry folks but we're going to want to throw up in our mouths with all of the Kobe coverage and worship.

Despite ESPN's hatred for anything Boston/MA (maybe it's 'cause ESPN is in CT)... I would think the most prominent story would be the Big Three and their first trip to the Finals.
