Thoughful gift Sam. I could only afford a pro-bowl safety myself. No fighting, you have to share.
Age joke, or no age joke....hmmm. Okay, you twisted my arm:
"This is the best gift since fire." :D

That's great Hawg... I hope your surprise entailed a cigarette afterward, even if you're not a smoker!
:hump:
... are you talking about the recent signings or somethin' else?!... Come on, inquiring minds wanna know! :)
Did ya get the coveted Seymour jersery? Or did ya get tix to a musical or something?!...
Anyhoo--hope that you had a great day & that the creek didn't rise too much at work... :)
I hope that Tige is doing well... I don't know about anyone else, but I miss his presence on the board... He & Melinda are pretty busy with the new baby, though, so that should be expected...

When you're a self-absorbed narcissist, like me, it becomes harder as the years go on to remember matters of little significance, like a brother's birthday (as opposed to my own).
So it helps to have a mnemomic device to remind you. Hawg's and dropKick's birthdays are in mid-March. This provides me with several annual traditions that make me say "Hey, it's almost time to hit the Building 19 'Cards: 2 for a buck' aisle!"
Since Julius Caesar doesn't take a Henkel in the back every year, I know it's Hawg's and dKM's big day when:
*The soot covered snowbanks turn to sooty slush.
*Ted Johnson reworks his pact.
*The Pats get into the free agent market.
*Borges and Mannix ridicule same.
*Lou Merloni's first complaint about still having minor league options.
*The sooty slush freezes under a blanket of new snow.
*The Red Sox manager vows to emphasize "fundamentals."
*The onset of my annual "Dick Vitale Headache."
*Bored, colata-soaked sportswriters bemoan the Sox manager's lack of a long term contract, 5 months before they call for him to be axed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FELLAS.

IGIG... I feel the pain in your post.... More snow today, eh bud?
I'll toast you w/ my new Texas buddies, as I sit outdoors tomorrow night at sunset with the temp dropping to the upper 60's. Hey, at least you guys don't have to deal with all this nasty sun in your eyes all the time!

Hey, IG_IG -
Yeah, let's keep that in mind the next time you me and Hawg play hookie from work to hit the slopes. At the end of the day, as we're enjoying a nice cigar and a few cold ones on the deck of the lodge...looking out over the snow-covered trails shining brilliantly in the spring sunshine...breathing in the pine scented mountain air....one of us has got to remember to say something like "Yeah, this is [b]ok[/] I guess. But it doesn't compare to sitting in the back of your pickup truck, drinking Lone Stars with your redneck buddies, watching the dust and tumbleweeds blow around on a nice 108 degree day in Texas!"

C'mon 108 degrees is still at least 2-1/2 weeks away.:p
And I still haven't seen my first tumbleweed. I keep looking for them, but all I keep seeing are these posh golf courses and huge sub-divisions. Texas aint all it's cracked up to be, I tell ya!:D
