...until I heard the news about the signing of Rosie Colvin.

There I was, driving along a Phoenix street and the 20/20 sports report came on.

I listened intently....awaiting some news on NFL signing.

There I was, cruising down the street, my ears glued to the radio.
(ever try ungluing your ears from your car radio? Not an easy thing to do)

Anyway, the announcer came on and began speaking.

"Well, the Arizona Cardinals are in the free agency news, again," he said.

My ears perked up.

"Another one of the free agents that they coveted, perhaps the BEST free agent in the NFl, has been lost," his voice said.

I became tense. My hands gripped the steering wheel. My ears became glued, even more.

"Linebacker Roosevelt Colvin", he said. I trembled even more, shaking , my hands gripped the wheel even harder, attempting to retain control of my speeding vehicle.

By now the perspiration was beginning to drip into my eyes, the roadway ahead of me became cloudy and foggy, i strained through the windshield to make sure I was still on the road.

"Linebacker Roosevelt Colvin has agreed to a contract with......" the announcer spoke clearly.

At that point the pressure in my temples was becoming unbearable, my eyes filled with sweat, my body trembling with anticipation, my foot , unknowingly, pressing the accelerator to the floor, i was passing vehicles at breakneck speed, wating for the final words.......

And, then, they came........

"has agreed to a contract with the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.

I literally jumped out of my seat, the seat belt restraining me from making contact with the roof of my vehicle, I yelled out in an emphatic roar."YESSSSSS," I screamed, nearly scaring the old lady who was pacing my vehicle in her 1952 Nash Rambler (beep beep), "YESSSSSSSS, YESSSSSSSSSSSS", I screamed again......

High fiving my rear view mirror, my dashboard and the old lady next to me in the Rambler.............I finally settled down and realized I had missed lmy turnoff by six miles......

Anyway, it turned a real shitty day into a great day....

This signing now gives us so many different options with our TWO draft picks, one of which can now be used on Larry Johnson, if he is available.

I hope that the Pats see it the same way.
YAHOO......WOW, AWESOME...THIS IS A GREAT SIGNING.

Congrats to Bob Kraft, Bill Belichick, Scott Pioli, Romeo Crennel and the entire Pats organization.

Damn, it, my ears are still stuck on the radio dial.

Wow NEM, that is indeed pretty excited! I thought I was possibly "overdoing" it because I popped a cap in a couple of Cowboy fans.

 :D
