I had an idea recently---
Organizing a gathering of fellow Pats fans for a fun evening of imbibing at some fine establishment in the greater Boston area... I am going to be down that way next month, right after St.Patty's Day and I was wondering if anyone would be up for such an event... I have pm'ed a few people and have had a positive response so far. So what say ye?!... Any feedback or suggestions? If it is well-received, then perhaps we can do it on a somewhat regular basis... :)
p.s.--sorry Pook, but we ain't going down to Texas to get together! :)

Hey! Peg's talking here people.... listen up.

By the way Peg. I'm already on my way there. Couldn't afford plane fare this time around, so I'm walking. Don't start without me.

Peg

Ha-Ha, Pook! :)
How about if we take lots of photos of our gathering and then post them here for those of you that are long-distance and unable to attend?! Wouldn't that be cool?... :)
I feel pretty confident that I can round up at least a dozen people or so... But, the more the merrier... :)

I was thinking about shooting for Happy Hour on Wednesday, March 19th... Location to be determined, but I have had a few suggestions given to me already... Accessibility and plenty of parking are important...
Keep in mind that this could be a slightly belated St. Patty's Day party, as well as a belated birthday celebration for Tiger, Hawg & DropKick... Won't that be fun?!... :)
And if it is well-received, then maybe we can do it again sometime after the Draft is over...
So, what say ye?! RO, MFPF! :)

Hey Peg,

Good luck with the get together. The other forum(s) that I go to have been doing get togethers for a few years now. Some of the event have become annual cookouts. And from what I have heard everyone has a really good time. Unfortunately I have not made it to them since they are either in Wisconsin or Florida. Some day.

But I do have a mini get together here in the summer. Both Pats and Packer fans get together for a cookout, swimming, and a lot of talk about whats going on with each others teams as one of the many topics.

Maybe if your down this way in July you can join us. I am going to be up your way this summer. Maybe we can hook up.

When and if ya do this get-together, you gotta post pics so us
"geographically challenged" Pats fans can see how it went!!

Peg
03-01-2003, 05:44 PM
Thanks for the input, Gals! :)
Edna--although you are a Packers fan, I hope that you will still be able to join us! I had intended to pm you about this, but I just haven't had a chance to do so, yet... :)
I'd love to come to your Packers/Pats annual cook-out... Good food & good football talk are always in vogue with me! :)
BTW--You always have an OPEN invitation to visit me at my cottage on the lake. Truly!... Just let me know when you are going to be back home in Vermont & we will make plans to connect... :)
(Thanks for the funny emails that you have been sending, lately! Especially the one entitled "Why Chocolate is better than Sex." You should post some of that stuff in the official joke thread here...) You rock! :)

PatsButterfly--We will DEFINITELY take lots of photos at our gathering. It is not a matter of "if" we get together, but just "when", as I already have several people "on-board" to do so!... I am a shutter-bug, myself, but I will make sure that we have someone with a digital camera, on hand, as well... Come to think about it, we will even have a Professional photographer there... Can you say, "JoePhoto"?! Also, Tiger is a great photographer in his own right and he has a new scanner at his disposal now.
What might be kind of fun is if we post the photos in a thread and then have the rest of you "geographically challenged" fans GUESS who is who in the photos... :)
What do ya think?!... :)
RO, MFPF! :)

I live in Western Ct. but all my family and my wife's family live in the Greater Boston area. If any of these gatherings ever coincide with one of our jaunts back to Mass. I would be up for it.

Peg

Thank you for the feedback, SamBam! (Or should I refer to you as "the poster previously known as HawgUNDERSCORE73?!) :)
I am optimistic that this gathering (tentatively planned for 3/19/03), will be the first of many more, in the future! When do you typically make it back to Boston to visit? Any particular time of the year, or does it vary? Just curious, so if we were trying to plan another one in the off-season... :)

I should be available... Looking forward to a wild time.

Peg,

I am still walking. I'm currently walking through Kentucky and making good time. If I'm running a little late would you please order me a Bud Light?

Peg
03-09-2003, 01:05 PM
Pook--A Bud Light will be waiting for you, upon your arrival! :) Seriously though, I might order one as a symbolic representation of your "presence." That way, when we are toasting our Pats & each other, we can "clink" your Bud Light! What do ya think?!... :)

Ballbustah--I'm glad to hear that you are available and looking forward to a wild time... :)
I don't know if I can promise a "wild time", but how about a "good time"?!... :)
It appears that one of the best suggestions for a place to meet is "The Good Time Emporium." (Nice segue, eh?!) :)
Check out its web site at: www.GoodTimeEmporium.com
It is in Somerville, which looks to me like it is a smidge north & west of Boston. Seems to be pretty accessible & "centrally" located, if you will. It won the Best of Boston Award for "Best Sports Bar" in 1998 & I have heard from reliable sources that it is a great place and fun should be had by all!... :)
Given the subject matter & the participants, I don't see how we can miss!... :)
Stay tuned sports fans... :)

Im definitely game for meeting up. March 19th is good for me to meet at GoodTimes. Thanks Peg.

Hey, Joe-Joe! :)
I KNEW that I could count on you, man! :)
Make sure that you bring LOTS of film, so that we can share the photos with everyone else on the board afterward...
Oh--and we should make sure that everyone wears some sort of Patriots gear, so that we can identify each other...
Anything that I am missing? Please feel free to make any/all suggestions...
I am thinking about a roasting/toasting sort of format for our get together... You know--TOAST our fellow fans that are there and ROAST the others that are not!... Hee-hee?! :)
What say ye?!... This oughta be more fun than is allowed by law!... :)

Hey, Fellow fans--
I am pulling the plug on our gathering planned for tomorrow, 3/19. Given what is going on in the world right now, I just don't think that it would be appropriate to have a celebratory gathering, at this time... Perhaps we can re-group & plan something for after the draft...
I will pm anyone that had shown interest, just in case they don't see this post.
Take care & God bless! -Peg :)

I know its a little too late to change your mind right now but I think you are using faulty reasoning to cancel the get together. World events and the fact that some of us won't be able to attend because of them are all the more reason to get together and celebrate. No I can not attend but it sure would make me feel better while I am in the middle of the desert to know that some dedicated Pats fans were still willing and able to celebrate our team. I don't do what I do so Americans all get scared and become friggin hermits. So, reschedule the get together, celebrate freedom and the Patriots, and maybe drink a beer (preferably Rolling Rock or Sam Adams) for those of us who can't be there.

American to the core! (even if I might be a bad apple)

...Point well taken... :)
I must say that I have been thinking long & hard about this for several days now. I weighed the pros & cons & your points definitely came to mind. If it weren't for the fact that we were planning on getting together the VERY day that a war may begin, then I might even go forward with the event... But given that, I figured that most people would prefer to postpone... Don't worry--this is not a cancellation, but simply a postponement... I am in hopes that things will be resolved quickly and that we will re-schedule sooner, rather than later... :)
I TRULY appreciate your input here, BW. Please take good care & know that we are all behind you, man! Godspeed! -Peg :)

BuckWild -
One of my favorite authors, Tim O'Brien, wrote a spectacular book called "The Things They Carried". It is a collection of intertwined short stories rooted in his own experience in Viet Nam. The title story was about the various objects that the soldiers carried with them into battle...not only their weapons and gear, but more importantly the personal items that reminded them of them of the reasons they were there.
Just to let you know, BuckWild. Among the things you carry will be the thoughts and prayers of the denizons of Patriots Planet. Not only do we send our best to you, but with you over there, we are sending our very best to Sadaam as well.

Best wishes to you Buckwild. We'll all be thinking of you.

Recently, my town instituted a program to bring back the blue star flags. For those who don't know, during WWII, families would hang a flag with a blue star for each household member who was serving. It served as a constant reminder for those who were home to keep our soldiers in our thoughts and prayers. The sad part of this program was that if a member of that household died in action, the blue star was replaced with a gold star. That's where the term "Gold Star Mothers" comes from.

I think this board will serve as our blue star to remember not only you but all of our young men and women who are in harm's way. Stay in touch so that we know you're safe.

Peg..I am going to be in Danvers MA during the last few weeks of May...how about we reschedule for then??

Peg
03-23-2003, 05:31 PM
PB-- :)
I am glad that you brought this subject up! :)
That would be wonderful! What are the exact dates that you would be able to attend a get together in the Boston area? I will go look at my atlas, but where is Danvers, MA? North, South or West of Boston? It might make a difference as to our chosen venue...
Also--I was going to suggest that we ALSO plan a gathering on Patriot's Day on April 14th (I think that is the correct date.)...
Let me know your travel plans and we will go from there! :)

PatsButterfly
03-23-2003, 05:44 PM
Danver is approximately 20 miles northeast from Boston..I will be in town the last 3 weeks of May.

Peg
03-23-2003, 05:55 PM
So, the venue of the Good Times Emporium in Somerville would work for you, wouldn't it?... :)
I will look at a calendar and figure out a date (and a contingency date) for the time that you will be here in May. :)

Given that, I may pick a venue south and west of Boston to do a Patriots Day gathering, as I had discussed with Patsfan and others to the south and west... :)

What do the rest of my fellow fans think? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. :)

Furthermore, I would like to let Buck Wild know that we are definitely trying to do as he asked of us previously and CELEBRATE the freedom that is ours in this country! (And to celebrate our Pats and enjoy a cold one for BW, while he may very well be in the desert by then...)

So, WHAT SAY YE?!?!... :)

... when are you gonna get transferred North?!... Do I need to talk to your corporate headquarters, or what?! :)
I am sure that they could re-locate you somewhere that is JUST far enough from your crazy in-laws, but JUST close enough to go to Patriot games... (Or at least close enough to WATCH the Pats play on t.v.!) So, what say ye?!... :)
Seriously though--YOU will be an honored guest (in absentia, of course!) Shall we let a Bud Light stand in for you?!... "I love you, Man!" (Isn't that the Bud Light commercial's line?!) :)

If anything Peg, I'd end up a Canadian citizen before they'd transfer me back to Mass, because that's where my company is putting all of it's new biz. Tax laws, wages, employee loyalty and health insurance all come into play as they mercilessly strip the business from our U.S. sites and move it north for profits. It's brutal. Mexico and India are hot spots as well. Although nobody from the States right now is allowed to travel to India (Mumbai), for obvious reasons and without the help of our American staff, these poor Indian buggers are flailing helplessly. It's bad that they suck, but it's encouraging and gratifying to management staff in the U.S.!

But, yes, please sit a Bud Light in my place at the table. Put a little helmet on it so it looks like a Bud Bowl player too and constantly refer to this beer as pookie, if you would. hehehe.

Hmmm... Well, it sounds like you could be in Canada and closer to N.E. and the Pats, than you could be in Texas... Right?!... :)

Well anyways--We'll have a Bud Light with a little football helmet on it, there in your stead... :)

p.s.--are ya watchin' the Oscars?!... "Chicago" is kickin' butt!! :)

p.p.s.--aren't you proud of me and my newly acquired computer skills?!... I know, I know--for a woman of my age & experience, I should have learned this stuff eons ago... But, then I never had a need nor a desire to do so... I guess that the Pats finally gave me the motivation to broaden my horizons a bit more, hmm?!... :)

Next, you should be sure to create a new folder on your computer and put all of your pictures in there... Call it my pics or something like that. If you don't, then you'll end up like my Ma with 57,000 pictures ALL OVER her computer. It can get messy, so it's best to keep your stuff organized into folders. Believe me Pook, she has already found tech support. Remember the days when there was still a Red Phone in the White House back in the Cold War? Peg somehow got her hands on one of those. It must have slipped my mind but as a new moderator you will be expected to be on call as part of the Emergency File Management Team. :D In order to create a new folder we both have to turn our keys at exactly the same moment.

Don't worry most of the calls that you get are routine, things like "How do I save a file." Remember back in the mid 80's when they were just coming out with the IBM PC and it was going to be an Appliance that would revolutionize our lives and make organizing recipes so much easier? "Throw out that card file, meatloaf is never more than a mouse click away." That's where Peg is when it comes to computers. :D

Is that the phone I hear? :)

Ah. The proverbial bat phone for tech support. And who was back in the late 70's, I believe that said he envisioned computers one day weighing less than one ton? Or something to that effect.

Just remeber Peg. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to ask NR.:D ;)

Maybe I am weird, but I HATE phones. They are the bain of my existence.

I hate when they ring during football or TV. I hate telemarketers. I hate paying exorbanate amounts of money to have the privledge of this useless box. I used to be involved in a long distance relationship and it was good for what it was, but I think I have outgrown them. Even the word phone pisses me off. I like email a lot better I think. I never thought I would say that but I do. Does anyone else feel like that too or am I alone in my mission against phones?

NR & Pookie--
I am SOOOOO glad that my computer illiteracy is such a great source of amusement to you!! :)
Truly!!... Ya know--anything that I can do for the TEAM here! :)
Ya know, they write those books like, "The Computer Book FOR DUMMIES" for a reason! I can't possibly be the ONLY one that is so far behind the learning curve, can I?! (BTW--that is a rhetorical question, so please don't answer it!) :)

Joe--I LOVE your idea of us getting together on the first day of the draft!! That's an even better idea than getting together on Patriots Day... And we can still get together again in May, when PatsButterfly will be back east... Good Time Emporium, here we come!! :)

OttawaPatty/Matt--If it is any consolation to you, Man--I HATE the telephone, too! Unfortunately, I have to spend a lot of time on the dang thing, for work, but when I am home, I seldom answer it... That's what they make answering machines for, Matty! I even turn the ringer off when I am watching football... People that know me, know better than to call me when I am watching my Pats, though... :)

I don't much care for the phone. The only thing worse than a phone is the cell phone, it has half the functionality of your regular phone with greater cost. Better yet, it's portable so you find yourself bringing it places that you used to go to get away from the phone.

Psst. We can't talk here any longer. It isn't safe. The walls have ears. Hawg and Pookie are COMPANY men if you know what I mean....

Being a Telecom guy, I kinda like fonz! They make me money. If it weren't for phones and phone systems, I'd probably still be cutting up swordfish and tuna back at Ocean Fresh Seafood in North Attleboro! However, when I leave the office, I stay as far away from all phones as possible.

I think you are missing the boat on that one. There are a number of now famous methods for dealing with telemarketers. The next time a female telemarketer calls (or male for the ladies and lacrosse fans...) try this:

Wait for her to get about a minute into her memorized spiel and then say simply and in a low voice, "what are you wearing?" What will often follow is the most priceless pause you have ever heard in your life...either that or some really good, and totally free phone sex. :D

I still like the Seinfeld response:

Telemarketer: Hello, I'm from blah, blah, and was wondering if you'd like ot blah, blah.

Jerry: Oh, I 'm sorry, but I can't talk right now. But if you give me your number, I'll call you back later.

TM: Umm, I can't do that, sir.

JS: Oh, I guess you don't like people calling you at home?

TM: That's right.

JS: Well now you know how I feel.

---------

Or what my roomate did last year. Telemarketer from SI called looking for me. My roomate told them I wasn't there, so they started in on my roomate. My roomate talked to the guy for like 30 minutes, and when the guy finally asked if he wanted to buy the magazine, my roomate said "No." P*ssed the telemarketer off pretty good.

You can't go wrong with Seinfeld.

------------

Sometimes the simplest is the best:

TM: Is this Mr. So-and-So?

A: No, but I know he's around somewhere...let me go find him for you. (Put the phone down on the table without hanging up and resume whatever it was you were doing.)

-------------

This one is my favorite: act like a paranoid schizophrenic cross between Dale Gribble and Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory.

TM: "Is this Mr. So-and-So?"

A: "How do you know my name?"

TM: "We're the phone company. You are our customer..."

Psst. We can't talk here any longer. It isn't safe. The walls have ears. Hawg and Pookie are COMPANY men if you know what I mean....

NR, you think you have great powers as a moderator. Oh, the tricky things I can do with remote access to a switch if I felt like risking my job.

Though that's how I make a living I really don't have any great love for the things. I have a problem not copping an attitude when I answer the phone and many people ask me if they just: "woke me up" due to my obvious distate for the little ringing bastards. I consider them a necessary evil and like the line used by golfer Freddy Couples when asked why he doesn't like to answer his phone: "because there might be somebody at the other end". Sometimes I think that if I went to "collage" I could have found a more suitable line of work, but what the hell.

Massachusetts is in the process of passing a bill to ban phone solicitations for those who put their names on a "don't call" list and it's the best thing the state has done in a long time. I will be able to answer the phone and let my sunny disposition shine through without worrying about getting into a big thing with a telemarketer.

Oh, so many funny comments that I could think of to respond to your replies regarding your phone-hating-fetish, guys! Truly! :)
Isn't it kind of funny that my "CALLING all Patriots fans" thread would turn into a phone-CALL bashing forum?! LOL! :)

Oh, well--at least you have enabled my thread to stay near the top here and for that I thank you... :)

Now, what do you guys think of Joe's suggestion that we re-schedule our gathering for the first day of the draft? Personally, I think that it is an excellent idea. But, I am looking for feedback from others... So, what say ye?! :)

Hawg. One question from a fellow phone man... When you were young and crazy (maybe around the collage years), did you ever use your butt set for evil? I did, I must admit.

That's what got me interested in Telecom was that darn butt set. It was a wonderous device. My older brother used to take me down in the basement of our 3 story apartment (aka triple deckah) and show me the wonders of making long distance calls from your evil neighbors dial tone.
:fire:

Now it's PRI T1's, DS3's, OC12's and the like. I sure miss tip and ring.

First of all--Thanks for bringing this thread back to the forefront, NR... :)
Yoh, DKM, the prankster--You never responded to Hawg & Pookie's request for your elaboration on the whole "Father Porter Prank" thing... So, what say ye?!... :)

Okay, Pook--You & Hawg are just plain SCARY when it comes to that tele-talk... Truly!... :)

NOW, AN
UPDATE ON OUR PATS' FAN GATHERING----

Okay Guys & Gals: We are re-scheduling for Saturday, April 26th, which just happens to be the FIRST day of the NFL Draft! Yay!!

WHERE: The Good Time Emporium
see their website at: www. goodtimeemporium.com for driving directions...
Voted 1998 Best of Boston Award for "Best Sports Bar"... (I think that Joe picked a winner here!)
It is located at 30 Sturtevant Street in Somerville, MA
WHEN: From noon time and on... to correspond with the NFL Draft times...
Everyone knows that we pick at 14 & 19, (Unless we do some swapping around and pick SOONER, like last year!) So, be prepared, as BB is a stealth one!
WHO: ALL PATS* fans! Come one, come all! Come alone, or bring a buddy or a spouse or significant other... The MORE the merrier! :) (*okay, "Edna"--YOU are invited, too!) :)
WHY: Cripes! Need you ask?!... To have FUN with and to meet our fellow fans on a BIG day for our beloved Pats... :)
HOW: ANY WAY POSSIBLE!!... :) By plane, train or automobile... Heck, I am driving down from Vermont, so anyone closer than that had BETTER make it, if it is humanly possible!... Seriously though--this will be a BLAST!... And remember--we intend to TOAST those that attend & ROAST those that do not!... Please try to wear or bring, some sort of Patriots gear, so that we may more easily identify each other... K?! :)
I am sooooo psyched!!... Rock on, my fellow Pats fans! -Peg :)

Footnote: I had to delete many smilies from my last post, as apparently, I had surpassed my "quota" and I couldn't submit that post without deleting some... Just KNOW that I had intended to "smile" so much more than what was posted! :)
:)
:)
:)
Needless to day, I am pretty psyched about our get together next month! :)

Goodtime Emporium is off Rt 93 by Sullivan Sq and Leows Theatres in Somerville. You can even walk from Sullivan Subway stop. They have batting cages, about 80 pool tables, video games, bumper cars and much more. The draft starts at noon and Bill B. could very well trade up to an early spot. I'll be there taking photos for everybody.

Hi, Joe-Joe! :)
I will try to be there by noon, as I have a feeling that BB will try to do something to move "up" in the draft, in order to draft an amazing defensive stud to stand next to Richard Seymore... :)
I know that you think that we should draft an OL man early, but I DO think that we will do so in the 2nd round of the draft... :)

Anyhow--I look forward to your taking photos at our gathering!... You are the best & I love you, man! :)

It will DEFINITELY be a good time, had by all!... :)

Stay tuned, fellow fans!... :)

Has BuckWild "shipped out", yet?... Haven't heard from him recently, so I was just wondering... I wanted him to be sure & know that we are going forward with our gathering, as he had hoped that we would... :)
Wherever you are in the world on April 26th, Buck, just know that we will raise a toast, in honor of you, man! :)

Well the time has finally come. My plane has arrived. I should be leaving Wed the 26th.

He left last week, unfortunately Peg. I can't make the Apr 26 get-together, So I will watch the draft at work and think of you all..Have a Sammy for me!

Peg

I am bummed that I didn't get word to BuckWild before he left... I wanted him to know that we were honoring his request to carry on with things... Oh, well--hopefully he will be back in touch, once he "lands."
Don't worry, PatsButterfly--I hope to organize ANOTHER get together in May, when you are back in MA. :)
As far as having a Sammy for you on the 26th, I may have to delegate that to someone, okay?! I am already having a Bud Light for Pookie & a Sammy for BuckWild/Larry & YIKES!!... I just might get drunk, at that rate! LOL! :)

...until the NFL Draft & our fan gathering at the Good Time Emporium in Somerville, MA! :)

The whole draft thing has always baffled me... Every time I am SURE that we are going to use our first pick for an offensive player, we pick a defensive player (AND VICE-VERSA!!)...

So, going with this theory: I am SURE that BB will pick a defensive player with our first pick... Ergo, you can bet the farm on the fact that he will pick an offensive player... :)

Either way, I see us picking a big guy for one line or the other...

Does anyone think that BB will package up a couple of our best picks, in swap for a VERY early pick in the first round? (Say, in the top three...)
That would seem like a waste in a way, as there will still certainly be some really good guys available at 14 & 19... But then, teams like Cincy could probably use two SOLID first round players more than they could use just ONE single amazing new addition... And we are really only a few personnel tweaks shy of re-visiting a Championship season, IMHO... Solidify the DL with one or two great draft picks and similarly solidify the OL with one or two draft picks & then I think that we are golden... :)
Since I don't know much about salary cap stuff--Do you guys think that Brady's re-structuring lends itself to the signing of ONE or TWO first round draft picks? Could the amount of money available be indicative of where BB is going in the first round? Would love to hear the input of others on this subject... :)
I want to have some sort of a clue by the 26th!! LOL! :)

... 21 days & counting, until our Pats fan gathering at the Good Time Emporium in Somerville, MA... :)

for directions & other details about the facility, check out their website at: www.goodtimeemporium.com

be there or be square!

Now, let's get some hot stove pipe talking going on about the draft, people... (And I don't mean what they have "on-tap" at the bar!) LOL!! :D

I'm thinkin' that if we don't swap picks, then we will take Sullivan (DT) with our number 14 pick, if he is still available...

So, what say ye?!... :)

Hey Peg I have to tell you I got a very big laugh out of your newest meeting place. Wish I could make it but I have a final class to attend before my dog enters his second dog show. :(

I was laughing because the place where all of you are meeting is a very big meeting place for Packer fans. They talk about that place all the time and say its a great place.

Have a tall one for me.

As for the draft. I think BB is going to go Offensively first. Since I do not pay too much attention to the Pats, how many picks do they have this year? The Pack have 11 right now. Big question in Packer land is whether or not Sherman will be going after a QB. We think he will, and hope its not in the first pick he makes.

Anyways have a great time at your meeting. I will be contacting you soon about our trip to Vermont.

Hey, Edna--Glad to hear that we picked a joint with class! :thumb:
Sorry that you won't be able to make this one, but maybe you can make the one that we are going to try and plan for next month! :)
Good luck with your well-educated pooch! I look forward to our poochies meeting each other this summer! :)
Just let me know when you can make it up to good ol' Vermont & I would be happy to help you find a cabin or cottage to stay in, so that you can bring your dog.

As far as the draft goes--You are probably right that BB will go with offense first... The reason that I say that is that I THINK that he will go with DEFENSE first, but then I am always wrong, about which way he is gonna go with the first pick, so there ya have it... I have seen some mock drafts where GB picks a QB with their first pick. I see logic behind that... Favre is definitely going to be retiring in the forseeable future, so why not have a rookie learn under his tutelage?! He would make a great mentor, although some of the stuff that is his forte is just plain grit and sometimes that cannot be taught...

I'd like to go, but I'm not sure I'll be around that day. I'm spending the week in Virginia attending accepted student days at colleges with my daughter (William & Mary, Washington & Lee). :thumb:

If I get back early and don't feel too drained, I'll bring along a friend and look for the place. In any case, I hope everyone has a good time.

Well, Bideau--What a good Dad you are! (And not a bad time of year to be visiting VA, btw!!) ;)
I hope that you get back in time and have enough energy to join us! Won't you be pumped up after seeing some beautiful campuses and then on your trip home, thinking about just WHO we will nab in the first round of the draft?!... Me-thinks that you will find the energy, man! (Besides, you can rest on Sunday!) :thumb:

It's now SEVEN days and counting!!!... Mark your calendars & get your Patriots Gear ready... We're gonna rock-n-roll next Saturday!! -Peg :)

Well, I just got back from Virginia (my daughter picked Washington & Lee :thumb: ). After 10 hours of driving, I'll just be crashing in front of the TV tomorrow. I have no more driving left in me. Besides, I have a week's worth of work to do around the house.

I hope everyone has a great time and I'll try to join the next get together.
