Rest easy Peg!! There will be more beefcake photos forthcoming during training camp;)

John Clayton is reporting that
"The Patriots restructured the contract of middle
linebacker Ted Johnson to keep him on the team. At the
threat of being released if a deal wasn't reached by 4
p.m. eastern Thursday, Johnson reached a revised
three-year, $4.8 million deal that included a $1.4
million signing bonus. Johnson was scheduled to make
$4.45 million this year and his cap number was $6.827
million. The new deal lowers his cap number to $3.679
million, a savings of $3.189 million. The Patriots
entered the day $9.7 million over the cap."

YAY!! :)
I am SOOOOO happy!!... I was originally going to use a photo of TJ for my avatar, but I was afraid that it would jinx his chances of remaining with the team... Now, I just might go ahead with that avatar...
Thanks for the good news, BruschiFan! :)

Cap wise it's probably a good deal but I believe TJ is not much help to the team anymore. he doesn't handle the run as he once did, he gets taken out very easily and has no pass rush abilities.

They would have been better off cutting him loose and looking at FA or draft picks.
