View Full Version : How's the Weather in Boston?
We managed to miss most of the storm up in Northern Vermont. Not to rub it in. It is about time too because we have been pummeled this winter. I figure you guys are too busy shoveling to be online.

I'm mad. Here in Durham, near the seacoast, we caught the edges of the storm. My guess is that we got 12-20 inches total. Tough to tell right now. :cuss:
Just inland, in my hometown, they were expecting 2+ feet. :cuss:

In Western Ct we got about 24" of snow. Today however it will be 37 degrees and partly sunny! :thumb: I'll take it.

The winter from hell continues. This is my 42nd winter in New England and I don't ever remember one this bad for both cold and snow. We even had a couple inches of rain in the past 2 weeks just to make things interesting. I'm convinced we'll never see summer this year. Sigh................

For the love of God and everything that's good. It's hotter than f'ing Hades here people. Yesterday hit 112 in my town.... today it's cooled down to 109.

You know Pook, it ain't the heat....it's the humidity.
Love that cliche.
If it is any consolation we've been socked into a foul weather pattern of rain approximately every 15 minutes or so for about a week.
Humidity is about 100% and my truck is starting to grow fungus on the inside of the cab. I swear I bumped my noggin into a cloud earlier this afternoon. It is ugly as a Raider fan's star button out there.
Supposed to clear out in another, oh 4 days or so.
So is it a dry 109?

Whoever coined the phrase "it's a dry heat" should be shot. 109 is 109 no matter how you look at it. Outdoor activities are out of the question. I don't have to give my kids haircuts because they burst into flames after riding their bikes for 2.5 minutes. My oldest ruined his new sneakers today by simply walking on the concrete too long.... they literally melted.

For the folks up in my homeland that think it's always mild in the south.
Yesterday was 68 degrees.
Today we got rain to sleet to snow. It's in the 20's now and snowing, going into the teens. The roads are sheets of solid ice with moron rednecks in their over sized trucks spinning all over the place. No jersey barrier is safe! It's beautiful for a Ma$$Hole to behold such stupidity on bad roads. It took me an hour and a half to get home from work (18 miles). But hey, I did get to see a helicopter land on the highway!

Right now it's 8 degrees, but hey, tomorrow's high is supposed to be a whopping 4 degrees with a low of -5. Course, that's not with wind chill.
If a divorce wouldn't cost so much I'd be out the friggin door and moving somewhere warm so friggin fast. :banghead:

Divorce? I thought you just gave your husband a birthday present? Or was this a different husband?

What is ironic is that all this snow that the midwest is getting is going to be a big old rain storm here in New England.

I had no idea we had an official weather thread - what a lamer I must be ;)
We got our first snow of the year on the first day of winter and now it's -6° with a wind chill of -24°. The weather guy said that if we had as much snow this year as we had last year that the base temperature would be about -20° and the wind chill would be about -40°
PS - I'm in MN, btw.
fvckin' brrrrrr!!!
