Newbie here. I am the artist formerly known as Hawg #73 from a couple other sights. Saw that handle was taken so I decided to go with my second favorite Pats player of all time. Sam "Bam" Cunningham #39. Look forward to joining your community. Thanks.
Welcome, Sam!! :)
Hope that you enjoy this site and have as much fun as the rest of us have been! :)
btw--your reply in the thread about t.v. show ideas is a hoot! :) Keep 'em comin'!! :)
p.s.--are you the poster on the other board known as "Hawg#73" or "Hawg_73"?! Just curious and thanks for not confusing us with another Hawg-handle! LOL! :)
p.p.s.--Oh, yeah--FallingAlice likes it when people first join the site to give us their "story" of being a Pats fan... You know: How you came to be a fan and when and where, etc... So, what say ye?! :)

Hey Peg! Yes it's me the artist formerly known as Hawg_73 (or Hawg #73 on KFFL) on patriots.com. I did not want to confuse the issue so Sam I Am! :D
Falling Alice Yes, I do find it strange that there would be 2 people who would choose such an unusual handle. But, John Hannah was and is my all-time favorite Patriot. Probably because in my younger years I played offensive guard. So when I signed up to post on patriots.com back in 98-99 or so I wanted to acknowledge my favorite player...thus Hawg_73 (the original, I guess) was born.
I am an old-time Pats fan dating back to 1968. I saw the Pats play at B.C., B.U. and Harvard Stadium. I remember the days of Mike Tailaferro as QB, Jim Nance up the middle for 2 yards, Jim Cheyunski at linebacker, Ron Sellers, Plunkett to Vataha , Bob "Harpo" Gladieux , Mini-Mack Herron and on and on. I remember watching Pats-'Phins back in Dec 1980 on Monday Night Football when Howard Cosell announced that John Lennon had been shot! A memory forever etched in my mind!
I grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts and lived there my whole life until 8 years when I moved to Western Ct to pursue a career opportunity. Now I live in the heart of Jets and Yankee country which is a downer. I am married have 2 children (girls) who are huge Pats and Sox fans even in enemy territory ;)
Thanks for a great board. I look forward to sharing great chatter with my fellow Pats fans.

Hey Sam,
That gives us even more in common as I am also a South Shore guy (Weymouth) and a fan of the team since the 60's. Check out the thread on page 2 that Alice started called "Thanks for the memories" you'll like it.

Hey Hawg,
I grew up in Hanson so I know Weymouth well! My first child was born in South Shore Hospital.
I'll give that thread a look. Thanks for the heads up.
