Glad to have you on-board... Guess you FINALLY took my hints on the other board, eh?! :)
Fortunately, only the FUN posters from the other board have migrated over here. But, we still need more quality posters, such as yourself...
Any chance that some of the other "old-timers" like Testy and Townes (aka MrSpike) could be persuaded to come over from KFFL... It is a shame that last winter's fiasco caused so many good people to leave...
We have FallingAlice to thank for being the driving force behind getting this site going... I still float between the two boards, but I hope that the best of the best from the old board come over here and then we would still have the same "community" as once upon a time... What say ye?! :)
p.s.--How's the UNH hockey team this year? We (UVM) play Dartmouth at Dartmouth on the 18th and I am looking forward to going to see it! :)

UNH is currently ranked #5 in the country. They finally seem to be having a UMO-esque season, which is fine by me. And conversely, UMO is having a very UNH-esque season. Again, which is fine by me. I'd love to see them tank in the NCAAs

UNH plays Dartmouth tomorrow. Technically it is "AT" Dartmouth, but the game is being played at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester. Which means that like last year, it will basically be a UNH home game. Expect the "visiting" fans to outnumber the "home" fans 7,000 to 2,000 (being generous).

Yeah, the UVMers ALWAYS outnumber the Dartmouth fans, even when it is played at Dartmouth... UVM always has an alumni reception prior to the game and then we all walk (or stagger!) over to the hockey rink together, with our green and gold pom-poms... It is quite the sight to see and I look forward to it EVERY year! :)
You will enjoy "talking" to FallingAlice (aka Puckstopper from Pats.com) and NoRespect, as they are hockey nuts, as well... :)

Nope.

Maine is ranked #1.

UNH was actually #1 earlier in the season after beating defending champs Minnesota, and lost the ranking after losing to BU. BC took the top spot at the time, and UNH beat them in their own barn (and with the amount of fans who actually go to BC games, it IS a barn). Should've took over the top ranking, but UNH then lost later in the week to Maine in OT. BC beat NU that week as well, and retained the ranking.

But like I said, Maine is having a very UNH type season. Unbeatable in November and December, but we'll see come April.

UNH is having the typical Maine season....fly under the radar in the Top 10, and start peaking for the Hockey East playoffs. Then hitting on all cylinders come the NCAAs.

Yeah, I remember how you & Townes were "tearing up" the board last year around Easter time... Gosh, that's a LONG season... I don't stay on top of the standings anymore... It is too hard to keep up for so long... Guess I might feel differently if UVM was doing better... They used to be better when I was in college in the mid 80's... YIKES! That sounds like a LONG time ago, now doesn't it?! It didn't use to... Truly!... :)
