Who would you draft

ok,it looks like the pats will be drafting inside the top 10. so,on draft day if your where able to select,who would it be??

I would take James Laurinaitis. Mcfadden is gonna be gone, so Laurinaitis would be ideal

Are LB's would be sick next year if we got him

AT,Vrabes,Rossie and Laurinaitis

I would love it if with our first pick we drafted DE/OLB Vernon Gholston from Ohio State.

Chris Long, UVA, would be awesome. Glenn Dorsey would be ridiculous, but he's not going to be there at #7. Long probably won't be either, but we can hope.

I strongly doubt we'd take Laurinaitis because BB apparently prefers veteran LBs. Moreover, a college DE is well suited to be converted to OLB in a 3-4, and thus our LB corps would be helped either way! Finally, Long is the better athlete by a good bit, implying to me that he'd be a better OLB conversion than Laurinaitis will.

Having said all that, the likelihood that he's still there looks pretty low at #7. We can hope that all the suck teams above us decide what they really need is a franchise QB...

(Edit: I'm aware that Laurinaitis is an ILB, and thus would almost certainly never play OLB anyway. Nevertheless, my claim is that ILB is where BB wants the veterans and OLB is where we need the ridiculous athlete.)

agreed, the guy is a machine, he was dominating jake long when they played, but i doubt he gets past the Jets
