He had his 3rd best stats game ever?
Holy smokes what’s going to happen when Brady and Moss start to gel after 4 or 5 games. Be afraid NFL be very afraid!!!!:thumb:

I don't know about anyone else but seeing Moss on the sideline chatting to Stallworth both in Pats uniforms, I kinda had to pinch myself. It just didn't look real!

Plus it just looks weird having a huge receiver out there. I've got used to having no receivers bigger than about 5' 11''.

I love it!

I'm on board the Moss train. One game and he is in the Patriots record books. Awesome...I mean Mossome!

Simms said that Brady couldn't wipe the smile off his face the Saturday night when the 2 of them talked about Moss.

As long as he behaves, looking good!

The catch I was most impressed with, wasn't the long TD in triple coverage, although that was prtty awesome.

No, it was the one on the sideline, on like an 18 yard out, he dragged the toes, caught the high pass over his head with his hands, and had a defender draped on him.

That was my "Oh My god" moment.

Agreed Tommy that was a GREAT catch! I was waiting until I saw him on the field to make my judgement on how I felt about him, and well I don't think I really need to explain. Watching him today I just sat back smiled and said hmm I wonder what Brady is thinking right now.

It's nice that Brady knows he can just throw it in a direction and knows Moss will find his way to the ball even with 3 people around him. I am sure he will behave himself here I think he is happy to be here and don't think he will want to screw this up.

Moss was friggin' AWESOME today!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

If today doesn't keep him happy and doing things the Patriots way, then nothing will.

Can you imagine wats its gonna be like when Donte Stallworth gets it together and plays opposite Moss with Welker in the slot? Or even better, the 5 wide-out formation with Gaffney, Washinton, and Watson? They can't cover everyone!

This season is going to be FUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!! :D

Just wait for Florio at PFT to try and convince everyone that Moss' huge day was just an audition for the rest of the league and the Pats are STILL trying to trade him.

I can't believe I'm strongly considering buying a Moss jersey tomorrow... the man-crush grows...

Moss really does look like he is in slow motion out there, he moves like a Gazelle out there.
San Diego, you arent going up against Rex Grossman on Sunday night :D

This is the first time in Brady's career that he has a WORLD CLASS wide receiver split out next to him. May be the last time that we ever have to hear the term (even from IDIOTS) "system quarterback" Eason

I'll put the over/under on Moss at 12 TD's and Brady at 30

I dont love him, not yet. Right now Randy Moss is that semi-hot chick you met in a bar and brought home and had a wild night with, and when she left she said she'd call you. Theres potential, but you have to wait to see if she actually calls you, and if her name was actually Naomi.

If she does call you, well maybe its the start of something beautiful. You string together 3 or 4 more of these type nights and maybe she's marriage material. If not, well thanks for the memorable night Naomi. I'll never look at a 20 oz Mountain Dew bottle the same way again.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the actual game (did enjoy watching the 'Skins beat the fins, though:D ), but I obviously saw the highlights.

Moss may or may not have another game like this this year, but it doesn't matter. The precendent has been set and the league knows that it can happen. I saw the postgame interview with Brady, can't remember the last time he looked that happy.

This is going to be a VERY LONG year for AFC defensive coordinators!:D

Who beats triple coverage down the field? Seriously, this is going to be great.

He made Brady look that much better today, if that was even possible.

The Charger's game is going to be a different beast. There is no way Brady is getting 6 seconds to throw. The pass rush will be heavier. Charger's secondary looked fairly weak, Berrian was open half the time and if Rex was better he would have been hitting him all day.

If we can keep turnovers to low count, I'm fairly confident we can win.

I hear over and over again that Brady has never had a weapon like Moss. That's true, but it's equally true that Moss has never had a QB like Brady delivering him the ball.

This should be a lot of fun.

Anyone who had Moss on their fantasy team leave him on the bench?

Nope I started him and got 30 points out of him. I still have Chad Johnson going tonight too.

I'm still reserving judgement just yet. I mean there's not much doubt the guy has talent, never really has been. It's the other side of Randy Moss that I've always hated.

However, after seeing his post game comments yesterday, I'll admit he's gone from zero respect to the slightest inkling of a glimmer of hope of earning some resepct. He honestly looked like he was going to come around to the Patriot way.

If that kind of attitude continues for 4 or 5 weeks, we'll see.

You could see in his eyes and hear in his tone that he knows he's in a place where he can win, and that makes a huge difference to a guy like him at this point in his career.

I was listening to a pre-game show yesterday on ESPN radio with John Siebel, Keyshawn and Ditka. Siebel kept bringing up the attitude point, and asking if how BB would handle the situation if it became an issue. It was funny, because Keyshawn actaully sounded irritated that Siebel would even ask such a question. His response was "do you HONESTLY believe that BB would have brought him in without discussing this with him and knowing where his head is at?"

That's how I look at it. You can't convince me that Moss doesn't know that one week he might have the game he had today, while next week he might catch 2 passes for 25 yards. Brady hits the open receiver, and if Moss keeps getting open he's going to keep having the ball thrown to him. It's that simple.

For me though, one game and one locker room comment do not erase years of wanting to see the guy drummed out of the league and forced to work at McDonald's for a few years to remind him how lucky he is and how humble he should be.

He's spent a few years on a short list of players I have absolutely no respect for. T.O. and Keyshawn are among the handful of companions he has on that list.

The decision to buy the Moss authentic jersey looks quite sound now.

The Cold Hard Football Facts showed a little love for Randy as well. Here's a little teaser.

The Randy Moss Factor (http://coldhardfootballfacts.com/Article.php?Page=1614)

It was the most productive single day by a New England wideout in the Tom Brady Era. The best previous output was Troy Brown's 16 catches for 176 yards and 1 TD against Kansas City back in 2002.

. . .

He remains the second most productive TD-catching machine in NFL history.

Moss has averaged .738 TDs per game in his career (102 TDs in 139 games). Only the immortal Don Hutson, the single most dominant receiver in the history of the game, scored TDs more frequently, averaging 0.853 TD catches per game (99 in 116 games).

I'm quick to forgive. Seeing Moss make several catches that no other Patriots WR has ever made during Brady's tenure has given cause for forgiveness.

The 51 yard TD. The sideline toe drag. The over the shoulder in stride lob for 33.

Brady has never played with a WR that he could trust to make those catches, or had the height, speed, and hands to make those catches.

He accomplished things in -one game- I've never seen a WR do for Tom Brady in -six years- prior.

Randy Moss is easily, far and away the most talented wide out to ever play in a Tom Brady offense in NE.

Now, if he stays healthy and stays in good graces I'll be one hell of a happy camper.

I think that Troy Brown will fit very well into this offense once he comes back.
