They're both playing on the night of September 16, which sucks donkey testes.

Of course, we had to live with the regional nightmare was the the Great Keith Foulke/Kevin Faulk Confusion.

And lately, I have become convinced that there is a deep connection between Tony Eason and JD Drew.

What are the other strong Sox and Pats connections?

I asked about Sox and Pats, not Pats and Sox.

But while we're at it, I'll note that at Pats games and celebrations, negative chants about the baseball team that occupies the Toilet have been heard. In fact, I'll note that the single funniest aspect of SB 39 was walking down the ramp after the game and participating in one of said chants, one that involved sucking.

The Pats wear sox but the Sox don't wear pats. Is that a connection?

Red, white and blue.

OK, I admit it, I really just wanted to bash Eason and Drew together. It doesn't help that they almost look alike.

I wanted to travel to New Orleans and tackle Berry for starting Eason in that game. Really I did.

They've both played at Fenway.

They've both held championship trophies in each other's stadiums.

They both play an eight-letter sport that ends in "....ball".

both are based on grown men wearing matching uniforms, patting each other on the ass while the rest of the guys cheer them on

The Red Sox are responsible for the Patriots 21-game win streak ending.

Every time the Red Sox have won the World Series this century, the Patriots have won the Super Bowl.

Both have won the championship by beating a team from St. Louis.
