from pats.com, anybody know anything about this guy ? And WTF did we really need another TE ? Sounds like training camp fodder to me.

A new player appeared in uniform for the Pats. TE Marcellus Rivers wore jersey number 82. He’s bounced around the NFL since 2001, playing previously for the New York Giants and Houston Texans. He’s listed as having been a member of the Saints last season, but his stats indicate he appeared in no games for New Orleans.

I would imagine that's what he is. Haven't we only had two TEs practicing in camp anyways? Gotta have another body in there so Watson and Krachnick (if I remember his name right) don't die before Week 1.

from Reiss

The new tight end on the field is Marcellus Rivers. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Rivers played for the Giants from 2001-2004, was with the Texans in 2005, and had signed with the Saints last season but did not appear in a game.

Rivers was with the Raiders leading up to the 2006 season, but was cut before the season began. The Saints brought him in for a few weeks in December.

And from Mrs. B (plus various lesser sources) he scored a TD in his first practice with a nice grab in the back of the end zone. It's just BB building some depth and keeping a bit of pressure on young Mills to get back to form and young Thomas to work hard at rehabbing, and young Watson to look over his shoulder for the ball, and young Kranchick to work on his footwork and concentration...

With both Watson and K Brady still out this move only makes sense. Hopefully it's not a sign that either guy is more seriously injured.

Wasn't this guy in that Tarantino movie?

Doesn't seem to be on his resume:

"The veteran tight end has played in 75 NFL games over five seasons with the New York Giants and Houston Texans. He also spent time with the Oakland Raiders and the New Orleans Saints, but didn't play in any games for either team. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Rivers was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Oklahoma State by the Giants in 2001. He has 51 career receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns."

Just what I was thinking.

"You don't tell nobody 'bout this. This stays between you, me, and Mr. 'I'm About to Spend the Rest of my Short-Ass Life in Agonizing Pain Rapist' here." >)

Not that there's anything wrong with signing guys to be practice bodies. Or don't the Chargers do such things?

Can you photo shop a picture of that dog chasing LDT with his unit in his hand? (LDT's hand and unit, not the dog's, in case there was any confusion)

Subtly mixing homosexuality with perhaps a penchant for bestiality in one fell swoop.

Wow, you've got issues my friend. Maybe you should check out some of the threads with the superhero gayporn to get your fix?

LOL My post wasn't even a criticism. All teams do this.

I think you're reading a lot in, sir.

Knowing that you're a big LDT fan, I just was amused by the thought of a picture of a dog about to bite LDT's dick off.

Where man-man or man-dog sex comes into that, I don't know. Maybe you have issues.

didn't the georgia bulldog almost bite a player a couple years ago after he scored against Georgia?

Hey did anyone see the video the other day of the Seattle mascot that damn near ran over one of the Red Sox ? Got the guys glove caught briefly in a wheel but didn't quite hit him.

I just got the sense that a pic of LT with his cock in hand and a dog was the sort of picture you were asking to see. Not a lot to read in to that amigo.

ROFL Love your sig! Now we know how Ron Mexico became such a great running QB. If pitbulls could play WR then Vick would've been recognized as a true passing QB.

Wrong again, small fry. Let me slow this down for you.

The idea of the Chargers' all world crybaby ("mommy, make them stop celebrating, it's not nice!") having one of Mike Vick's pitbulls bear down on his unit makes the Baby Patriot giggle. That's all.

Hey that's ok, BOU would try really hard to explain it away too. All kinds of 'bearing down on units" coming out of your camp there Champ. Maybe try the forums at nambla.org:thumb:
