...hhmmm, more lucky then good.
Let's see- 2006 rankings
Total Offense- 7 (Rushing- 11, Passing- 11, Points scored- 6)
Total Defense- 6 (Passing- 11, Rushing- 2, Points allowed- 2)
Overall top 10 team in both offense and defense.
Not too bad.

tom is a cutie drool wuv
peyton has a big cranium and ants in his pants :manning:
seriously Dolphan
Peyton Marino is a very good QB, no one will dispute it, to be great he needs to do it in the playoffs and not have a relapse of his previous failures.
even more important he needs to stop throwing other under bus when those failures happen and take the fall for his team as the face and voice of the organization

This seems to fit with your twisted logic. Great players win championships, punks don't. Ergo, Manning (like Marino before him) is a stat whore punk.

the funny thing is that you think that matters. And, if you think dinking and dunking is the Pats whole passing game, you've either obviously never watched them or are too ****ing stupid to understand what you're watching. Based on your obvious complete and total lack of intelligence, I'm guessing it's both.
Just for reference, here's a list of guys that might have had better arms, thrown downfield more, quicker release, etc... See if you can tell me what they all have in common:
Fouts
Marino
P. Manning
A. Manning
Cunningham
Kelly

I'll tell you all what these true 1st ballard "Hall of Fame" QB's have in common besides not wearing a Winning SB ring...
- Not one of them has ever been nominated the "Dink & Dunker"
- Not one of them has ever had a "Cinderella Season"
- Not one of them has had a Fumble called a "Tuck Rule" and then went on to a SuperBowl as a 14 point underdog...LOL !!!!
- Not one of them recieved an MVP for throwing 120 yards & 80 of them were after the catch,,,,"Thats just "Silly" and was QB of the 23rd ranked Offence
- Not one of these QB's were fortunate enough to go through the whole play-offs & SuperBowl without "1" Single holding call against their "O" line who protects them....impossable, and that was against the best front 7's in the league in 2003
- Not one of these QB's have won 3 Superbowls in single digit figures...9 points = 3 Rings
- Not one of these QB's won 28 out of 30 games by 3 points or less...thats almost a 100% win record...
I just wonder how many of these games the refs either took the opponent out of scoring position or put the Patriots in scoring position...I know of at least 10 off the top of my head...
- Not one of them even with no "RINGS" was "Quoted" as saying ..."We get no respect in the NFL"... because thats all these QB's get is "RESPECT" from the NFL world because of their lifetime NFL History making accomplishments
- Not one of them sat the bench for 3 years as the 3rd starting QB...waiting for someone to get hurt in order to play
- Not one of them was drafted as low as the 6th round because he hardley even played in college..and had no accomplishments
- Not one of them are to blame for lack of performance for not taking their respective teams to the Play-offs & Winning..they are all the main reason why their teams even had a chance
- Not one of them as you all say are "ONLY" recognized because of their non-SuperBowl rings....
they are all world reknown "Hall of Fame" QB's because of their raw talent at the position..
Unlike Tom Brady ..with his "Cinderella Season" Rings & "Dink & Dunker" QB-label...and you tell me who would even mention his name in the great catagory if they "Did Not" have 3 bought & paid for SB rings...

Let me say that this was a really funny post. I always expect Dolphin 22 to make me laugh.
He already mispelled a word on his first sentence, instead of ballot, he said ballard.
Also, Brady wasn't on the bench for 3 years.
And Brady was pick in the 6th round but I think it's pretty cool was he's been able to accomplish. How many 1st round picks haven't made it in the NFL and how many undrafted players have made it in the NFL and have been pretty good players?

he forgets Tom isn't the 1st QB to not be a 1st round pick and do ok
Bart Starr being a 17th round pick and Johnny Unitas a 9th round pick
or even two 3rd round picks in Montana and Fouts, yeah it matters greatly that you are a 1st round pick - doesn't it Finboy

I absolutely agree with you 200% #1 patsfan...although i have my thoughts on what has happened to this league & who is mainly responsable for it & getting sick & tired of the main office & referees controlling this sport...I happen to wish Tom Brady was a Dolphin for the past 5 years even when he was considered a "Dink & Dunker" he had all the other great QB qualities
And he was coached perfectly & learned like a professor...he grew into a good QB..he played & was coached his 1st 3 years "Not to win games" but play not to lose...and now he has grown into an accurate passer down field...
None of this dismisses how that team has won many of their games....and has nothing to do with Tom Brady..he will be a Hall of Famer if he only keeps it up & plays 16 years like Monttanna & Marino & Elway with consistancy\

You people really havn't got a clue...or listened to a word i said or viewed any of the articles, actual clips, or governement investigations that took place involving NFL tampering...my posts are all pretty accurate & mostley factual & undisputable but yet:::
You all seem to want to just disregard all that because your patriots are winning..,I don't blame you all for turning a blind eye...But admit what is what it is...and don't trash all of us who don't agree with your perseption of the NE Patriots
And you should all want the exact same thing I want...football to be decided on the field by the 2 teams playing each other...win or lose....Im sick of cliche's & bullshit...you know !!! I can't even get into the momentum of a game anymore because of the refs...how can a team get momentum...
Whats the absolute 1st thing you think after a great play...is there a flag ??? I think it's good...no yelloe on top of the screen..."Great" we got the 1st down..Thats football now....can anyone deny that ??
Not Robert Kraft's business plan to make the Sport International and the largest sports market in history
Not for the story...& what sells tickets...who needs to build their revenue and fan base to sell more Merchandise to contribute to the NFL etc...
Not to keep games close & unpredictable so there is parody in this league & "Any given sunday"...because thats exactly what the NFL wants...doesn't that alone strike you funny that that is exactly how it is...
Hate to say it...the referees are responsable for keeping these games....and it's blatently obvious at times...
The truth is...the Patriots are a decent team.... maybe top 10 ,,,,I'm am honest about my dolphins & about the sport and want it to be what it used to be...not what it is now & today...

Dude, I've read EVERYTHING you've posted but it's pretty hard to take you seriously when you don't even spell-check your posts!
For God's sake, look how you spelled "MOSTLY" above!
Further more, it's not that we don't have a clue, it's that you're WRONG!
Does Robert Kraft get preferential treatment as an owner? No. Does he have more clout than the majority of owners? To that I'd say yes. He is among the more vocal and active owners and, quite frankly (and this may be the part that you are confused the most with) his team has been the most successful recently so it will probably appear to others that the successful strides Bob Kraft make are simply handed to him on a platter.
Another reason why no one will take you seriously is because you come to the board and flame. You don't offer rational debate or banter, you simply flame and incite rage. Why the hell do you think you've been Assclowned? Do you really think it's because you're right and you're points are being censored?
No one has a problem with your hatred of the Patriots. Hell, it's welcomed with open arms. Look at CKA and some other Colts fans. They're here every goddamn day posting away and they're among the more popular members of this board and (*gasp*) they HATE THE PATRIOTS with every fiber of their being.

But Kraft, 63, who has emerged as one of the most influential owners in the National Football League while transforming the Patriots from a national joke into a model franchise, had a plan. He also had the ear of NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue and the chairmanship of the league's powerful finance committee, neither of which hurt his furtive effort to privately fund a new stadium in Foxborough after he already had agreed in principle to accept Connecticut's largess.
As the final deadline approached in Hartford, Kraft's finance committee endorsed a lucrative program whose immediate beneficiary was Kraft himself. Teams in the NFL's six largest media markets, including New England, could borrow up to $150 million in low-interest loans from the league to finance new stadiums (other teams could borrow as much as $100 million). NFL owners overwhelmingly approved the aid package, clearing the way for Kraft to kill the Hartford deal and leverage Massachusetts for $70 million in infrastructure.
Know thats definately "Not preferential treatment as "1" example!...Key words..."Most influential Owner"...Nice deal HAH!!! so he immediatley was the beneficiary of the new program..eveidence of Kraft personally having the power change the rules...including the finances of the NFL at will as he wishes!
They're here every goddamn day posting away and they're among the more popular members of this board and (*gasp*) they HATE THE PATRIOTS with every fiber of their being.
. Thats all out & out "Bullshit"..Everyone of my rants are not from disagreeing with me...but because I don't kiss Patriot ass in what i say I get pissed all over with your insults & as far as im concerned only 2% of you have an idea...
my Rants are "ALL" in retaliation from your insults...Why are we all here???...because us "ASSCLOWNS" don't agree or kiss your ass & are "Not" alloud to retaliate or state facts to prove points & oppinions....and worse...get the F%$#$CK out of here if you all don't like what we talk about in here...go to your main board...now your talking about banning me from here...what a "JOKE" and a bunch of you all are that agree with that...
Here are just a few of the $Billions deals Kraft is responsable for...and a list of just a few of the vcomittees he holds a chair in...
He has left his fingerprints on nearly every major NFL deal in recent years as a member of the league's finance, audit, investment, broadcasting, business ventures, and expansion committees, as well as the special committee on league economics and the Los Angeles stadium working group.
Kraft's fellow owners said he played a major role in 1998 negotiating the NFL's eight-year, $17.6 billion television deal, the richest broadcast contract in sports history. Bowlen, who chairs the broadcasting committee, said Kraft recently helped renew deals with CBS and Fox worth $8 billion through 2011 and is working on similar renewals of the Monday night and Sunday night television contracts with Disney, which owns ABC and ESPN[B]Kraft also helped close a five-year, $3.5 billion deal for DirecTV's ``Sunday Ticket" package and a seven-year, $220 million pacts with Sirius Satellite Radio, which is run by Kraft's friend, Mel Karmazin, who was president of CBS during the 1998 contract talks.
Don't tell me It's all a coincidence and I'm an idiot or prove this or that...it's all afact & again we are all sick of it...so stop trying to convince "US" and yourselves I'm sure that the Patriots are this great "Dynasty" equal to The Dolphins 40 yrs of success & the 49'er's & Cowboys & Steelers 7 Bronco's etc...who have earned their respect...Ban me if you want I don't have much else to say...

Dolphin22 may I suggest you track down a Patriot poster named Nem, he can be found on various Pats boards, and engage him into this heated debate. I feel he would be the only one of us capable to matching intellect with you
oh and he also has a few issues with his typing skills, typing a more train of thought type of response than the other option.

Good Luck sunday..I hope the Pats win & get the top seed & win the 2006 bowl & again represent the NFL as a mediocre "Champion" as usual I hope the team wins also - see we found a common ground - all it takes is effort
but as for the Mediocre "championship" I have to disagree, but being a johnny come lately fan like I am, heck I started really following the team in !976, I take this as the best of times and also with a win at the end, as the best of teams.
I appreciate these times like I did the 80's Celtics, I have seen greatness and this, my fellow poster, has the chance to be greatness
ps I used spell check and fixed your post I quoted - don't thank me just one fan of the NFL helping out any way I can

Mike I think 2004 the Patriots truly were a top 5 team..and a deserving SB chanp...no doubt..great running with Dillon & Tom was solid. and the Defensive was tough...but will question the 15-1 Steelers game at home always....
I thought they deserved it....and we should all expect a top 4-5 team at worse to represent the NFL SB Champs
Their other rings...they shouldn't have even been there & arguabley weren't even in the top 4 teams in the AFC alone...and that 's what i hate about what has been going on in the NFL

teams with records better didn't make the playoffs, yet in the end thay were the final team standing
or even the wild card Steelers - with a road trip to the superbowl - teams had better records yet they won. Is that a tainted win.
it is all down to who has the Kick at the end of the race to out last their opponent to the finish line the Pats have had the best kick in those other years and Steelers did last season.
I look at not how you get in record wise but how you played the last few weeks - typically the Colts cruise and it huts them

D22 you must just LOVE the BCS.
Playoffs are played to decide the Champs.
At the end of the regular season last year the Colts would have been ranked #1. The Steelers were an afterthought.
But the Colts couldn't step up their game in the preasure cooker that is the Playoffs. It's all part of it

D22, I will admit that I believe I believe the infamous "Tuck Rule" should not have gone in favor of the Patriots. Therefore, the Patriots should not have won that game. And if not for what followed suit, I can't honestly say I believe they'd have still won the next two Super Bowls, 2 and 3 seasons later.
However, like a lot of bad calls that occur week in and week out, the Patriots still had to erase a a significant deficit to even tie that score. The kick which tied it, regardless of what anyone says, was the most clutch kick you will ever see. I just can't agree that there was any kind of conspiracy afoot at that juncture of the game to allow the Pats to climb back into it. If there was a conspiricy, the score would have been a lot closer. At worst, it was a bad call like a bad pass interference call to put an undeserving offense on the 1 yard-line with 1st & goal.
Now I know your reply to this will be to callout how the Patriots got away with countless unnecessary roughness penalties in SB XXXVI but again, over the course of the next 2-3 seasons, every team in football who played the Patriots (Bill Polian says "hi") cried foul and the league tightened the rules for DB's in favor of the offense, specifically the WR. So to your point, the League assessed this type of play and made changes to the rules that were NOT IN THE PATRIOTS FAVOR.
In regard to the deal that kept the Patriots in Foxboro instead of Hartford, the entire deal was a smoke-screen to begin with. Look no further than the Red Sox to see how difficult it is to get a stadium built in this state while you watch other cities gladly build multiple sports complexes for less successful franchises (see Phoenix, Detroit, Seattle, et al). So why would he NOT pursue such a deal? It is done all the time, most recently with the 49ers who actually DID decide to leave but more so because they didn't have the alternative location that Kraft did to build the stadium.
Kraft was never going to move from the 6th largest market in the US to the 28th. He'd be moving his team that much closer to New York and God forbid his team sunk to .500 or worse. It's hard to maintain that level of fan interest in the 28th largest market compared to a top-10 market.
Also, guess what.... Unlike what would have been the case for the Hartford deal, tax-payers in Massachusetts are not paying out the ass for the infrastructure of Gillette Stadium. Why? Because Gillette Stadium is privately financed! Want to learn more about how some of the debt is off-set by Kraft? Go here. (http://www.sportsvenue-technology.com/projects/cmgi/)
That all being said, as a Patriots fan, I still laugh at the "Tuck Rule" call. But whatever, my team benefited for it, the rule itself fell under a ton of scrutiny and guess what- it still remains. Is that a conspiricy? Would the Patriots and all of Bob Kraft's clout really care if that rul changed after-the-fact?
If you're sick of the Patriots, that's one thing. I was so sick of the Cowbys by 1995, I damn near invented a time machine to move ahead a few years. But to call what the Patriots are doing a conspiricy is just wrong.

Dolphin22 - so you admit a 14 point underdog made it to the bowl by shitty calls & got away with murder to win it...thats the conspiracy no one wants to see...180 yards of non-calls i posted the damn film 5 times on here...

Dolphin22 - 3 poiny Stan ...2001 season was a farse & 2002..go back ...OUCH..the Patriots were distgusting team especially against the plus .500% teams they got demolished....

Dolphin22- Your answering my own questions... so you really do know this team has won many games getting away with cheating & the referee's favoring them... and these were playoff games & games that gave them titles....
In their 2003 & 2004 Superbowl runs ...I still don't know because of the shardy referee calling as to if the Colts would have won or the Titans if the game was called faily...do you ??? Believe me those calls matter...
and I do believe the Pats were a top 3 team in the AFC in 2004 and didn't deny they were a Contender...not a Pretender that season... unlike the others..
and as of late from 2005 & 2006 week 14...the last 31 games the Patriots have a 4-10 record beating teams with an above .500% record....something like .220% against the good teams...& having major trouble barely beating some of the bad teams....
In regard to the deal that kept the Patriots in Foxboro instead of Hartford, the entire deal was a smoke-screen to begin with. Dolphin22 - All good stuff Stan...did you notice in that artcle how as CEO of Kraft's NFL Finance committee conviently make a rule that he immediatly benfited from & was aloud $150,000 Mil to get out of that deal...and the rest of the league was entitled only $100 M...i thought that funny too...but this is about favortism, power, tainting the rules & the laws of the NFL and I think I proved that...
Robert Kraft is like the 275th richest person in Forbes Mag... He is a business man 7 has an ego like you can't ever imagine...and he brought it to the NFL...it's a new league & it's his...

The Patriots have 3 rings because they manage the salary cap better than most of the other teams in the NFL. Pittsburgh and the Eagles are 2 of those teams that come to mind which are similar to the Patriots, in that regard. It's that managing of the salary cap that allows them to overcome injuries. They have 3 rings because they pay more $$$$$ to 2nd tier "backup" players. They allow themselves the flexibility to overcome this with versatile and competent backups that you don't really see with other teams.
Pittsburgh won the SB last year. Prior to that, the Pats won 3 of 4. The Eagles appeared in 4 consecutive NFCCG's and 1 SB appearance. To me, that is not a coincidence.
I understand your argument about the officiating, I really do. But I enjoy NFL football way to much for that to damper those emotions. I watch because I am a lifelong PATRIOT fan of 31 years and look forward to seeing them play every Sunday. Keep bitching about the officiating! There are bad calls every week. There have been many other teams in the history of the NFL that have been screwed by a bad call. It happened to the Pats against Oakland too, you know, but you don't see us crying about it.

Now why will you all believe that game was a farse or fixed or favored or just fu&^%CKED up because of the referees & Bettis or whatever the reason...but yet still don't & can't believe thats what has been happening to the Pats....
And the Post previous to you about the love & emotions & a 30 yr fan...I agree & appreciate your do or die support for the Pats...which as you know best is rare....
You all know whats funny & the honest truth...I supported these Patriots every year since 1969 when I started playing Pee-Wee football....
I went to a minimum of 3-5 games every season since i was 16 with the other 15,000 true real Patriot fans...and I supported them every game exept when they played the Dolphins...

My friend Mr. or Miss Pats4 forever...you better go back & rethink everything you just said...exept your last few sentences..
Ask Bruiski how great they manage the salery cap...Kraft & Bellicheck are without question the worst at managing the salery cap to create a team...
What a nice deal he sihned with a resume of "defensive " captain with 2 SuperBowl rings...$16,000,000 over 4 years all ass ended....now thats showing him "Love"
Last year Brady lead the league in yards etc...and you were 30th in rushing & 26th in total defence...with $13,000,0000 under the cap they really took care of Tom letting his # 1 and # 2 WR's go & having the money....I could go on...
But re-think all that...Kraft is cheap & wants a major return on his investment and it shows....

Really, they're the worst at managing the cap? They pay their backup more than any other team in the league, or did you skip over that part of my initial post. Like it or not, salary cap management is a HUGE part of today's NFL. They will not overpay for what a player has ALREADY accomplished in the PAST.
I have never once heard Bruschi or Brady complain about his contract.

I'd like to see that proof & why would Kraft pay the benches good $$$ but not the money makers ???...that doesn't sound right....
And Kraft also uses marketing in his negotiations ...commercials & endorsements...thats why they don't complain ...they make it in other ways...Have you ever seen a team marketed so much the in the last 5 years...
The whole "O" line with Brady & his hot babe in the resterant doing a Master Card commercial...
Bruiski - Seymoore and Harrison in the Pepsi Commercials
The Fans & gillette Stadium in the freezen "Silver Bullet" Coors light commercial ....
And it was sickening for awhile & on every channel every game...bla ! bla !
I think i saw 1 commercial with Bettis & Jimmy Johnson & a few other people so he wasn't even featured or the Steelers...and didn't they win the SB last year ???
Oh..Yea thats right it was Robert Kraft who negotiated the 50 + Billions in network contracts to every network involved in football...How stupid of me...why would anyone want to use the 2005 SuperBowl Champions ??

Because you need 53 players to win championships. BTW, Bill Belichick and Scott Pioli run the football show, not Kraft. Anyways, your proof: See Indy Colts for proof - over 60% of cap dollars devoted to offense. Or the Washington Redskins, they are another good example. If you have no depth, you cannot win, unless you have 22 guys named Superman that go an entire season without an injury. Highly unlikely. See 2003 Patriots, they started more backups than any other SB winning team in NFL history. They didn't have a choice, that team was riddled with injuries, every week, different player.
As for the rest of your ramblings, that crap doesn't even apply to the football field. I don't put too much stock in that and I don't jump up and down at the TV screen when a NEP is in a TV ad. Plenty of NFL players are in TV commercials plugging various products, but to nobody's surprise you just conveniently single out what fits your argument as usual.
The only reason I can come up with (because coming up with one would be a serious waste of my time) is that you're just jealous. No Dolphins in TV Commercials, the NFL is rigged!
Honestly, I don't even pay attention to the commercials. I find them irritating. That's a great time to go to the bathroom and grab another beer. But if I am going to buy a product, good, or service, it isn't because Troy Brown or Tom Brady or (insert NFL player here) is the pitch man.

JFK was actually killed by the Loch Ness Monster, Sasquatch was "Deep Throat", Crop Circles are actually tattoos ordered by Mother Earth and Gnomes actually stole Tweek's underwear!
This isn't an arguement...an arguement has to have 2 valid points of a differance's of oppinions....
you patriots fans don't have a point, or an arguement to justify your stand..or at least I havn't it yet !!!
And quit sarcastically calling this discussion a "Conspiracy theory"... everything i posted involving in this as you call Theory are all "FACTS" ...theories are not based on "Facts" and have no actual evidence to support the topic...
D-22 ...and I don't have spell check...It's not aloud in the asylum we may hurt ourselves !!!!

What he meant to say -
This isn't an argument. An argument should two valid points with a difference of opinions.
You, as Patriot fans, don't have a point or an argument to justify your stand, or at least I haven't seen it yet.
Quite sarcastically, calling this discussion a "conspiracy theory" is just wrong. Those theories, as you call, are facts that I have posted. Theories are suppositions and generally are not based on fact and have no evidence to support the topic.
I'm sorry I am such an idiot with the spelling skills of a four year old and have no idea how to download a spell check program. I believe it is not allowed in the assylum. After, we cannot run around with sharp pencils as we hurt ourselves, too!

He may very well hate you, but ask yourself this: should that really make you feel sad?
As far as the real government investigation goes, we've had all the evidence we need to come to a definitive conclusion for quite some time. I'm not sure what 22 may be holding on to, but it obviously can't be anything of real merit. Otherwise we would have confiscated it long ago. I mean, we're the government, we never miss anything. Seriously. Stop laughing. And even if 22 does have something worthwhile, the jokes on him because he'd be doing a little thing we in the biz call "obstruction of justice," and that carries a mandatory sentence of...well...lets just say it's not pretty.
If you'd like to see the evidence, you may stop in my office and have yourself a look see. Of course, open records laws just say that I have to give you access to the material. They don't say anything about me having to make your search easy, or even comfortable for that matter. And that's assuming that I haven't turned all the documents into spit-ball ammo for the little inter-department "misunderstanding" we've got going on right now.

Evidence !!!.read my posts if you can't look at the pictures or even the nice movie clips i sent and convince yourself that it's not fixed or the Patriots get major favortism from the referee's if they can't win on their own...I don't need to post or convince any of you..just decide for yourself & believe what you want...

If I may interject my $.02....
22, Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you.
Hows the whole sleeping under a pyramid made of coat hangers working for ya? Maybe you need to change the foil hat you're wearing. That might help.
