I actually think about this often. I really can't decide.

When I first saw the 'All your base are belong to us' reference in here, I thought maybe it was what Dubya shouted when his prep school team won at capture the flag.

I didn't see the pick for: "The Greatest President of this Century".

Technically, he's also the worst president of this century and completely average for this century...

In a 50 or 60 years do you think his FLAWLESS conservative spending and great deficit control will be his claim to "Greatest President " or will it be his inability to stop Al Queda (albeit he hasn't tried) or will it be is ability to divide your country against itself, or will it be his ability to turn many countries against you, or his actions that may be the turning point of a fall as the U.S. as THE Superpower or will it be his inability to string together a sentance.

I would have voted for grand distractor and short-sighted weakling.

My vote would go to Karl Rove for grand distractor and to GWB for the inability to string together a sentence.

You have mistaken about the worst president of the century, Bill Clinton had a few months in office and would win that prize.

As for the worst in recent history, Jimmy Carter. His heart was in the right place, but he was the worst Charlie Brown immitator I've ever seen.

GWB is not the best president we have ever had, but if Gore had of won the election in 2000 we would still be trying to figure out how to react to the attacks on 9/11. If Skerry had of been elected we would be in worse shape by far on a global basis.

Like I said, Bush may not be the best, but he is the best of what we had to choose from.

:banghead:

OK, for hoepfully the last time, 2000 was the last year of the 20th century, not the first year of the 21st century.

Look here (http://staff-www.uni-marburg.de/~schittek/millenni.htm) if you need a reference.

Each date contains numbers for the day, the month and the year. Years as well as months and days are counted beginning with 1.

The first decade ended at the end of the year 10, the first century at the end of the year 100, the first millennium at the end of the year 1000. Thus the second millennium ended at the end of the year 2000.

Edit: This has nothing to do with how good or bad I think Clinton was as President.

Mark Henderson is absolutely correct that GWB is the only President the US has had this century.

Of course this same logic can be used to justify the Pats as the obvious NFL team of the millenium since they have won 75% of the championships in that era.

R8er_H8er ,

I sit corrected, Clinton was President until January 20, 2001 and so he was President for 20 days in this millenium.

...replacement for Charlie Weis. After all, it makes perfect sense. GWB is the most offensive person I have ever seen in my 66 years.
