Not sure which one of you fine gentlemen can help me with this but here goes
On my house pc for some reason I can't post. I can see everything on the site and sign in but as soon as I try to make a post it says you are not a registered member. Do you guys have any idea why it does this?

There's a help desk forum for this sort of thing.
Not that I care, just letting you know.
not sure....but check to see how cookies are handled...
when IE browser is open, click....
1. TOOLS
2. INTERNET OPTIONS
3. PRIVACY
4. SITES
Type patriotsplanet.net and click "ALLOW"
Close your IE Browser and reopen. Try to post after signing in.
Not sure of this will work, but it won't hurt.

I'm going to move this to the help desk, but my initial thought is it must be the way your home PC is handling cookies. Are you sure that after you log in, you STAY logged in?
Check your security settings and make sure as Ras suggested that you are allowing cookies from here. Make sure to add patriotsplanet.com

Get out the red shoe cause it didn't work. I went and allowed cookies from this web site and this is what i get when I try to post
You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again.
You do not have permission to access the page that you were trying to. Are you trying to edit someone else's post or trying to access administrative features? Check that you are allowed to perform this action in the Forum Rules.
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
It's weird because it's only when I try to post. What do ya think?

No.... .com should do it for the forums.
Hmm...for SOME reason there is something on your local computer where you are not really logged in. Have you tried logging out and clearing your cookies?

I clear all my cookies every 2 days or so. Maybe it's just cause it's a really old piece of crap. I'm still running on windows 98 (yeah i know haha). I just haven't gotten around to upgrading it. Do you think that could be why? Maybe there is too much porn? lol just kidding.
It's weird cause it does show my name as logged in you know where it shows everyone that is logged in. Then when I go to post it gives me that message.

Hey - which version of Internet Explorer are you running? (Help -> About Internet Explorer).
Not sure it will make a difference, but if you are on anything older than I.E. 6, try upgrading.
This is assuming you are running I.E. :)
Something else to try is deleting your temp files (should be a button for this next to where you clear out your cookies). There are several I.E. bugs that can be cleared up by this procedure. Maybe this is one of them.

I delete the temp files with the cookies. You know I am not sure if my internet explorer is working either. I haven't actually tried it. I'll have to look into that tonight :) Thank you much!! :)

No problemo - which browser are you using? Annihilus knows that older versions of Netscape have problems with cookies too. Maybe using I.E. will work. Tell us how it goes!

You've got your name saved in the "log in" spot and every time you enter your pass word, you fail to notice that your name has been spelt wrong, but you don't bother to check it becouse IE automaticlly types it out for you. Wrong, Everytime.
Check your spelling

When I first purchased McAfee internet security suite it came with this stupid "Privacy Service". I had to play around a bit with it before I was able to post on message boards. It's one of those cookie managers/pop-up blocker thingies.
Probably not gonna help you, but if you happen to be using something similar perhaps it will.....

That might have something to do with it! I'll check on that too because I know I use McAfee. Thank you!

What was the last thing you changed on your pc before this began happening. Sounds to me like a virus protection or firewall problem, ie, the settings not allowing for your info to be sent to or received from patriotsplanet.com

No, no, no....
I did some extensive research and found that this is actually caused by a shortage of squelch. This shortage is caused by leakage past the adjustable lock washer on the p-38 explosive modulator. It's really a simple fix. Pick up a can of squelch at the local Radio Shack and the corresponding adjustable lock washer for your modulator. Replace the washer and refill the squelch and the problem will be solved.
No thanks necessary.

I have figured out what is causing it I just can't figure out how to fix it. I went on my brother's computer because his IE works. It's aol that is not allowing me to stay logged in. Piece of crap aol!!!!!! Whatever they have for security settings. It worked fine on his computer using IE but I went on to aol on his and it didn't work! So ohhh well that's the problem! Thanks everyone for helping!!!
